Anyone know if there's more than one coolant temp sensor? One for the dash "AMG screen" and another that OBDII can pick up?

Of if anyone has seen the dash report an incorrect value?

I think possibly there's the sensor Mort posted and another in the thermostat housing?

There is definitely some kind of electric plug on the thermostat housing and can’t think of anything else it would be...could try unplugging it and seeing if the temperature reading on the amg screen or obd is lost

Anyone ever data log coolant temps? Curious the range and differential on what's displayed to the dash from the thermostat.

From what I understand after digging into this the last couple days. The thermostat temp sensor is what's displayed on the dash and controls fan operation. The CTS (from this thread) is what ignition timing, fueling etc is based on and is the accurate coolant temp flowing through the engine.

Nobody has logged their CTS numbers? 100% confirmed there's 2 sensors noted above.

What if I post some cooling mod ****?
