Dude your car is going to run like dog crap. There is a reason amg put that stack in there to strengthen the air flow over the meter.

Your car will cut throttle and jerk part throttle without the stacks in there.

Good luck!

Ps I'm selling stock boxes in you need them cheap

running stock boxes now...after doing this mod, i highly am against it and tell others to NOT cut their factory horns. any time you accelerate hard or briskly from a stop or at a low RPM's the ECU gets confused 50% of the time due to the massive amount of air bypassing the sensor itself.

anyway...should have an update Thursday or Friday...it'll be a surprise.

I bought carbon fiber air boxes that didn't have any type of stack to guide the air and found this out the expensive way.

If you remove your front and rear window, you'll decrease your 1/4 mile time.

You should try that next.

Ladies and gentleman, todays engineering phrase is "turbulent flow"

I ran enough FLUENT simulations in my lifetime to know, if you don't respect turbulent flow, it will rock your world. Literally. Some mods are better left undone.

LOL... yup. One of the guys on my ChampCar race team is an aerodynamicist for Toyota. He actually did a CFD simulation in Fluent for our little Civic for kicks, with and without a front splitter and rear wing...

They are Carbon Fiber Nylon. An extremely high durability material. Each print is about 11 hours per side. 22 hours of printing total. On a $13,500 printer.

We undercharge for them.

I will pay 200 if you guys make a stack that clicks on the 82mm tbs. I have your kit and glued on stacks but the glue does not hold up.

There is a noticeable difference running the kit with and without the stacks on the tbs.

Kleemann, renntech and amg all use a velocity stack on them and I'm sure amg has done its testing on it.

Let’s use JB weld after the filter on a car with a 20K engine ... when a vendor, and the oem manufacture already make the part you are trying to recreate. Some people I’ll never understand.

i spent 52 dollars and labor, and will have a lot of excess material...that is a huge difference to the 350+ for the OEM ROW airboxes.
