C63 AMG Wheel Fitment
I have a 2010 Mercedes c63 amg and I’m trying to get new rims. I’ve been looking at the niche Essen wheels m147; however, they only make them in 19x8.5 all the way around in my bolt pattern. Would this work for my vehicle and/or would it have a weird look to it? I’m trying to maintain the stock look.
also, if I did 19x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear, would this work? I don’t want to do any body modifications.

I ran a 9 inch front and 9.5 rear when I was running 255/40/18 & 275/35/18's......I can dig up the offset of those if you're interested.

What's your goal ? if you want to run wider tires ( 255/ 275 is possible) you can get them built with a custom offset.... I've had 4 sets of Forgestar and am very impressed with both performance ( light) and their durability...

I want a good looking vehicle with the performance.
the vehicle is also getting wrapped in a satin black full wrap with door jams, gloss black roof, with a carbon fiber defuser, Chrome accents, and a light up star girl. It’s also going to have ceramic coating out on the vehicle. Brakes are getting detailed as well.

Cool - you may need to consider some "pulling" in the rear to get a 285 to fit unless the ET is spot on and the tire runs narrow
...... or you can do flares and go bigger, I also kinda like the race look.....these are 345's

i am trying to find a configuration that fits... I’m not super savvy with cars so I had the tire shop set up the configuration. Is there anything you think I should ask them?

dont do 20" wheels, you'll regret it. There isn't enough sidewall. You will bend / damage them so easily not to mention they ride horrible with such little sidewall.

a lot of people have said 20s are fine and a lot of people are saying don’t do 20s. That’s the confusing part.

You're getting varied opinions on 20" because some like the looks they give but also because some enjoy function over form as has been said 20" ride rough and not enough rubber to protect wheel/
Depends on your style, are you a driver or a show car?

Only issue I have is that the 20s r ordered and sitting at the shop waiting to get mounted. I also already ordered tires that are also sitting at the shop waiting to get put on.
I based it off the shops/niches recommendation. I was getting multiple different answers like I said and didn’t think to much about it.

Good luck with the 20" and I hope you have a good dentist as your teeth may be in for some repairs in the not too distant future

Since you are running 20s rear, run full load tire pressures 42-44 front 44-46 rear. That will help to mitigate any bent wheels along with heads up driving and avoiding severe bumps, potholes and deteriorating pavement surfaces. The ride is rough at times but I don't mind it unless I hit a a sharp pavement edge hard, then I curse. Slow down a bit if you are not sure of the road surface, it can make a big difference. Your car will be a highly tuned bump and rough road surface detector. I love my 20s but have to agree with everyone else they are not the most practical choice. I got mine because they were not making them in 19" and wanted the wheel style enough to accept the trade off.
Enjoy your new wheels and tires.

Question for you guys, I bought the Niche Essen Wheels M147... does anyone know if the 2 3/4 center cap (niche) will fit
I compared them literally by putting them ontop of each other and it looks the same... The guy that would be installing the rim put it over the center cap and said no it wont... but they look exactly the same, just not as many clips on the back.

^You post that the niche is 2 and 3/4' and you link a 3''... They match on the surface but that doesn't matter. What matters is how they fasten and you yourself are saying they are different sizes? I dont get it

So I purchased the 20x10 40mm offset and I’m rubbing/bottoming our hard in the tears. Fender’s are not rolled. 19x8.5 front is working fine. this was all recommended by a dealer who is attempting to work with me on getting my issue resolved.
I am looking at switching to 20x9 38mm or 25mm in the rear to avoid rubbing. Do you recommending doing this? Or do you have another solution?

I’m confused on what to do right now. Im
looking at the niche Essen m147... only offsets in my bolt pattern are 40, 27, 38, 25. Or if I drop down to 19s it’s 35 or 42. 19s in the front are working.
mind you, the niche Essen wheels were already fitted to my vehicle and mounted.
im trying to find a solution for my rears... niche said these rims would fit on my vehicle and it’s ****ing up my fenders.

It was never going to fit.
You're thoughts are backwards, spacer will give you a lower offset which means pushed outwards
Go to willtheyfit.com and punch in your specs and it will show you (although you need to measure your tires too.
You can fit a 9.5"w wheel with a 50 offset

what about 18x8 42mm front and 19x9 42mm in the rear? I’m trying to make this work so I don’t scrap $1600
or I do the m240s and do 19x8.5 in the front with 42mm offset... and 19x9.5 in the rear with 50mm offset?
