Widebody time
What’s up guys, been a while since I posted any of my recent upgrades.
I’ve pulled the trigger on a set of Moshammer flares and will be getting them Installed over the next couple of weeks.
I have already widened the rear (metal pull and repaint) by an inch or so on each side: which allow me to tuck 295’s out back.
ideally I would like to step up to a 325 section width tire out back. For those of you with rear wide bodies, what kind of tire / rim sizes are you using.
I love my current HRE P43S’. But I don’t think they will work with the new wider fenders.
narrowed down rim choices to BBS Fi-R or HRE S101.

Man...the cool thing about you is when you mod the 63, its a quality build. Always respected your taste in parts. Looking forward to it and perhaps few questions coming your way later this year .

I have a BBS forged wheel fetish, but that's just me. Absolutely nothing wrong with the HREs.
Do you still have the white C63 sedan?

here are mine recently installed. The HPC kit I got was not perfect and required a lot of hand sanding to get it mint. Some other things i noticed:
1. there is not a lot of space to graft near the fuel door
2. sedan is much harder to mould in vs coupe, due to rear door panel
3. recommend black series fender liner (will require some modification), otherwise get underside sealed properly
the wider wheelbase will transform the rear. What size wheels are you thinking?
edit: i am running 11.5x19 et30 rear. 305/30 tyre. Can fit wider but no point, if you cant hook with 305 u have other issues tbh.

Thank you! Its the way the W204's should of come from the factory!
Bruhhhhh, coming from the man who flys jets in the air and on the road
Its a tough choice, I have the S101's already, but thinking about moving them for the BBS wheels. We'll see the BBS wheels are actually lighter by almost 3 lbs on the rear and 2 lbs on the front.
I have the Car still bud, its always been silver though hehehe. I wont get rid of it, its part of the family now. I think im leaning towards the FI-R's they are amazing.
Thank you Jorge, appreciate you my friend.
Im thinking 20 x 11.5 ET 35 Rear. i know a 305 / 25 / 20 would work and oddly enough its actually cheaper to buy 20 inch tires compared to 19's.
Worked out some of the fitment numbers with Mort on here through PM, he has the HMS flares which i think are similar in clearance compared to the HPC's.
Are you poking in the back? Its not lowered much is it?
Thank you Jorge, appreciate you my friend.

Where did you get the BS liners from? Was thinking about them or simply adding a flexible carbon fiber band riveted to existing fender liner. My car is widened already so i had to address it this way.

This is all very exciting Kris. I am certainly looking forward to your results. I am in favour of the BBS FI-R as well. Best of luck with your widebody Build!

no not much lowered. Remember u will gain clearance when u cut the wheel arch. Im moving to 305/35 tyres next, so that will eat up the gap more
Also if I were to go back I would not get HRE. Wildly expensive and there are some isolated but troubling reports of failure on high power w204 c63.

I have similar rear arch kit done on my saloon/sedan, based on Moshammer kit but modified & produced by Golding Barn Garage.
Being facelift saloon, the Moshammer kit did not fit as the rear bumper piece was not wide enough in terms of the side groove, thus alignment was all wrong for the rest.
The build is blogged here.
https://goldingbarngarage.com/garage...arches-5-door/
Rear wheels set up currently 19x11.5J ET30 305/30/19
You might struggle to fit 325 if the coilovers are dialled too low.

Been running several sets of HRE wheels on the C63 over the last decade without issue. Compared to my old 20 inch BBS LM's the weight savings were considerable switching to the P43s'. I do love me some BBS though.
20s will make the car very imposing, will be great to see.

This looks great my friend. The arches suit the car so much. I think with a 25 profile tire on the 20's it will allow a bit more clearance compared to a 305/30. Once i get the car back from body work, i can really start measuring etc. But i think a mid 30 off set 11+ Inch width wheel is ideal for these flares.

I didnt realize you were selling the C63! She is a beauty and well executed!
You and i both know as special as those 911's are. The C63 represents awesome value still, I sank too much into it. After 10 years, no sense of getting rid of it now. I just think, in 10 years from now.... How quiet things will get with Electric cars more common on the road. Makes me appreciate the C63 just a bit more... I think we all knew they will become a cult classic when we bought them, especially the OG members on here. Just a few of us left now .

OG here through and through since 2009 bro. You're car is an epic specimen. I was getting ready for work this morning just telling myself how much I adore the look and drive of the w204 C63 AMG. The other day I caught myself looking back at her parked while walking away. Your car is my cars bigger, better brother. You modded it so perfectly.
I like the wide rear conversions on this car, I just dont care for crappy body work and bad paint and sanding ( AshBNE's car has horrible gaps I can't sleep with, no offense Ash). Make sure they do a tight job with crisp lines because your car looks so OEM perfect.

Wow Kriston, I am impressed you still have the C63
I remember seeing a Moshammer widened C63 in Berlin a few years and it looked really good.

Matt! yes my friend, after such investments into it I don't see the need to change it I only drive it a few months out of the year during summer. Really there aren't many cars that gets my attention, very few newer cars have character. Too much electronics for me.
