I am from the UK not USA. Just the outside is treated as doing the inside can cause problems.

As above cerakote does nothing for heat protection and is just for visual appearance.

BTW did you get it done at Zircotec? I think they are the best around. Not cheap but top quality work

Nope found a local company in the UK that does it properly (they do things for MOD, Nuclear, Raceteams and Hypercar companies), read the Zircotec reviews as they are not good with coating flaking off as they rushed it or didn’t prepare it properly. In the USA the best company to use is Swaintech.

Local company I used in the UK and Swaintech in the USA were the same price around $850-900 both with no bad reviews but Zircrotec with loads of bad reviews wanted $1700.

Oh, so it looks like Zircotec's quality has gone down the drain. Pity because they were one of the best around

It seems it’s always hit and miss with them now for many years. The work done to mine is just as good as their best work, the coating has been applied flawless even if it looks different in the pictures it is just the way the coating absorbs the light and makes it look different on camera.

Got my ATI Super Damper crank pulley to replace my UPD underdrive pulley. Should increase my boost by about 2-3psi.

ATI Damper next to OEM crank pulley.

Reason for switch from UPD to ATI? Which do you recommended for n/a?

UPD is about 20% underdrive and works best for NA. If you're boosted ATI is better.

Okay that's what I figured but wanted to verify since you have both. I'm excited to put this UPD pulley on, I've heard good things on n/a

I run the ATI on my Whipple supercharged Camaro as well. It’s a stout damper and works well.

Didn't really "do" anything to the car but brought my son to his first race ever to get his feet wet in his 2012 P31 Coupe and he is hooked !! It was a roll race event and he started at 124mph and ended the day at 133mph so we where VERY happy for a stock car with headers on it. Need to get temperatures down a little ,it was really hot, and it started the run at 220* . Hopefully a tuner can get the fan running faster for the staging lanes for us when he is ready for a tune. Timing was at 22* and AFR 11.6-11.8 across the run so for sure room for improvement.

Get an oil cooler upgrade. It really improves things and does the work as it should, simple to install and the engine will be happy

Was looking into that cooler but the biggest issue is getting to the staging lanes, almost 1/2 mile away I would guess, and then sitting in the staging lanes for at least 15 minutes so there is no air flow to speak of and things get hot quickly BEFORE the run even starts. I'm thinking higher fan speed would help greatly as it does in my E55.

Installed my ATI Damper pulley, just needs an oil change and should be ready to rip for boost weather.

MBH Catless headers, new mid pipes with secondary decat, stock resonator, stock mufflers. This is the best way to keep the Amg tone otherwise you lose it. (You can add cats in though if you wish and it will be the same tone)

Took the c63 out from the back of the garage and took my wife out for brunch. Every time I drive it I’m amazed at what a great car it is. The way it drives, sounds, and the way it goes. It now has 2751 miles on it. It is like a new 15 year old Mercedes. Definitely a keeper. Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving.

Changed my wheels to 18" and winter tires 225/40 front and rear as recommended by the factory. Even if I don't drive much in the winter months, not unless the roads are dry and salt free
