What did you do to your C63 today?

Started clearing out the drivers side area to mock-up the trans cooler. Fits perfectly, just waiting on some mounting brackets then I should be able to run the lines.
Deleted SAI system with VRP block-off plates. Removed windshield washer, wipers and motor assembly. About 30-40lbs removed from the front-end.

An advice, as the fittings are on the lower side, you might get an airpocket at the uppersize in the cooler, and by that not having it all that effective.
Weld a bung on top of it and put in an airpocket release screw.

Started updating doorspeakers as the were tired from abuse from the rockfordamplifier.
I chose Hertz 6.5" Mille PRO.
And as they are able to produce a lot more midbass i needed to sound deadening the doors.
The eagleeyes notices i still use oem harmankardon tweeters in rear doors.
At from i will swap them for something else, just haven´t decided yet
First impression thoug:
They can take a lot more bass.
I turned up the gain on the amplifier, lowered the highpass frequency from 90hz to 70hz and turned up the bass on the headunit.
They can still take it without loosing control.
And having the subwoofer unconnected just running the doorspeakers it is very impressive.
And also, but didn´t do that today, i did it a couple of months ago, i bought a rockford fosgate PIII 15" sub instead of the cheap 'GAS' i had temporarely after i blew my kicker L7 12"
It cleaned up the bass a lot.

Just 15sec clip.
Took some ravemusic with no song for your listening pleasure *LOL*
(copyright issues)
Hertz MP 165.3 pro, from their 'mille' series..
They are driven by a Rockford prime amplifier(R2-500x4) in this small clip i had the highpass set to 70hz And headunit bass set to +6. i measured 112dB without the subwoofer, with mic next to my right ear.

Got the trans cooler all mounted up and wired up. Tested and works great, pump and fan automatically turns on after the trans fluid reaches 180 degrees.
Decided to use a relay to power the pump and fan, soldered and sleeved all connections for a clean install.

Curious how the fluid change procedure will go now.

Looks great, any information on the install? Items you bought? How you installed it all? Deleting the SAI etc

Hi Team,
I was busy this last week polishing and cleaning up everything under the C63 front to rear that I could reach with my rags and brushes.
Then it was all discs off for repainting, cleaned callipers and changed brake fluid.

Pretty simple, just jump the pump and let it circulate new trans fluid.
I got everything from Setrab.
Great mod overall, drove it hard on Sunday and the trans cooler works as expected.
Pump and fan comes on at 180F and cools the trans fluid quickly, trans didn't have the sluggish feeling after driving it hard after a few hours.
- Oil cooler with fanpack
- Oil Pump
- 30/40 amp relay
- Mounting Brackets
- AN Fittings
- Temp Switch

You will have to fill the pan through the fill plug then run the external pump to prime the cooler and lines at the same time so it doesn't suck in any air. Then on top of that run the car and set the fluid level once it hits a specific temp.

Did you have to remove or re locate the horn too?

You can mount the horn below the frame rails.

Engine mounts, thrust arm and voltage regulator.
Did my oil service the other day and while doing that did some other parts that needed doing.
Replaced the engine/transmission mounts, front upper control arm (thrust arm) and voltage regulator while I had the steering rack dropped.
Did voltage regulator while in there and battery disconnected.
original engine mounts 2013/120,000klm
most like original thrust arm replaced with new Lemforder part

I had this Audio hobby when i was younger, as many young guys do, i have kinda awakened that again, now almost 30 years later.
I try to combine audiophile with possibilites to play loud if i want to.
I have good experiance of Hertz, so i combined a kit myself:
3" 'pro' midrange.
And their best tweeter ML 280.3 Legend.
And ofcourse it wasn´t done 'today', but i´ll connect them today as i´m about to finish the passive crossovers.

Got my JQ Werks magnetic paddle shifters, these have a strong satisfying click when shifting through gears. Should be a nice upgrade from the factory shifters with inaudible shifter click.
