2010 C63 with 105K miles for $25K worth it?

I'm looking at buying a 2010 C63 with 105K miles listed at $25K. I feel I may be able to work him down to $22-$23K but is the mileage worth it at this point?

I will definitely rip this car pretty hard but would prefer it lasts at least another 5 years before dying out. I currently own a 2019 C300 and love the reliability thus far and working at a car dealer ship will cut down maintenance costs. I likely will drive max 10K miles annually with it.

Obviously, the C300 will be my daily driver and the C63 will be the weekend car. I can imagine putting less than 10K miles a year on it but will the long term be a headache with the current mileage?

Seller has done the following modifications to it: "-secondary cat and resonator delete -euro charge Tune -carbon front splitter -carbon rear diffuser -carbon side skirts -professionally painted Yellow calipers -new rotors and pads -D2 racing/airlift performance air suspension. -BF Goodrich rivals s 1.5 tires less than 3k miles on them".

Thanks!

All comes down to it’s previous owners and maintenance records, for me at least. I would start there and if truly interested, do a full PPI (Compression on each cylinder).

Got it. Thanks. The PPI can be done at Mercedes correct?

No idea. Should that be a priority for myself following purchase?

For what its worth, I sold my 2011 4 years ago which had a tune + LTH and Airboxes for $25k with 52k miles. Head bolts replaced (although it was past the cut off but warranty covered it). I did replace cam adjusters as well. PCV .. etc. All maintenance and work was done at the dealer. It was free off any issues when I sold it. For whatever reason, they're overpriced right now even when they're not maintained. I just picked up 2012 with 59k miles a couple months ago and they're really over priced lol but got a good deal on it.

I was searching for around 8 or 9 months until I found one that was priced within my budget and didn't have many miles. Patience is key honestly so wait around until you see the right one if you're not fully convinced with this one.

Any Idea how long it will take till they are more reasonably priced? I just feel anything pushing 100K miles isn't worth buying at all. I'd value these at $18K just because of the additives it has. $15K otherwise.

Last I checked Mercedes does not offer PPI. I would get in touch with your local performance shop that works on Mercedes. DD!

This will always be a tricky one. The car does fall under the “head bolt issue” and it’s recommended to upgrade them. There is also a chance that they’ve been replaced already or have not been affected. DD.

That’s where I personally would value the car. $18k because of mods or else $15k for stock. I found one in Seattle area over the summer for $18k with 100k miles but needed the headbolts replaced. The owner was willing to let go for $14k. They’re not quickly picked up or sold so you can always negotiate and wait around till you can strike a deal.

you also have to look at todays market value. the one you looked at with 100k miles for 18k that's a good price for it. something with a 100k miles private party can sell between 16-19k. if the owner was willing to do 14k, i dunno why the owner was willing to go so low cause that's what the dealers would give and then they would flip it and sell it for more. in that case you should of bought it.

I would expect an upswing in prices in the future for our V8 models, as demand will become firmer now that MB has announced discontinuing V8 production, except for one or two models starting in 2022.

He lived in NE but he currently lives in Scottsdale where I am at. I've looked for this model nationwide and can't find something around 70K miles around $20K which is the goal

MB of Scottsdale offers a ppi still or did as of a few months ago got a e55 dropped off there before I flew in to buy it from the seller. OP I would try to talk him down some even in this market especially if the headbolts are not done use that to your advantage I would say before the market up tick it would have been a 17-19k car but can't realistically expect to pay that right now good luck.
