Recent purchase '14 C63 AMG - used warranty questions
Hello members,
Been an avid viewer on the forum and recently decided to join once I got my hand on a nice 2014 C63 AMG.
So I recently purchased a fairly low mileage 2014 C63 with less than 38k miles. I searched this forum pretty thoroughly but nothing recently.
I tried to get warranty through CarChex or Endurance and they either don't allow AMGs to be warrantied and/or only warranty 2015 and newer so I missed it by a year.
All in all, local MB dealership is offering me a complete end to end coverage additional 4yrs/48months basically covering all from
engine, transmission, drive axle, climate control, shocks, front/rear suspension, fuel system, electrical system steering, brakes, CV booths, navigation audio and high-tech.
(no idea what is involved in high-tech, nor does the financial dept from my initial question).
I was offered the price of $4995
Is this a good deal? I shopped around and found this to be best deal I could find at an MB delaership.
Thoughts?
Advance thanks for all who can help.

I purchased the additional MB 2-year warranty on top of my CPO warranty for somewhere around $4k. Mine is a 14 and I had coverage until Jan 2021. It wasn't worth the money. I had a little over 60k when the warranty ran out and the only thing I got out of it was new motor mounts. I'm no mechanic, but have done all the regular maintenance on the car except the trans/rear diff service. I even replaced my own plugs, injectors, and valve cover gaskets. If you're half way mechanically inclined, the DIY stuff here and on youtube would likely get you by. $5k would be 2 or 3 big repairs at in indy shop.

Got a price of 4yr/48k warranty with $100 deductible for $4995
bumper to bumper warranty.
Will most likely get this to be safe. Better safe than sorry for any AMG engine issues.

I got a 3 year/75000 mile bumper to bumper warranty when I bought mine from Carvana for 4500. ESC module and washer reservoir needed replacement after a month of ownership, a 2500 Dollar repair bill from Mercedes, so it already paid off half. The car has been perfect since, but any major component failure can set you back more than the warranty.
I would do it again.

Warranty is wasted on a 2014 car. That $5k would get you a whole lot of power instead.

How was your Carvana purchase experience? I just posted that I'm considering a purchase from them.

I can't tell you this for sure, but I've heard a lot of people complaining about aftermarket warranties with AMGs specifically. You'd hate to buy a warranty, need to use it, and find out they don't cover a lot things.

The "bumper to bumper" your dealer quoted you for is not providing you the best coverage being only an inclusionary policy, and definitely not providing good value at that price.

AFAIK, Mercedes typically only offers option for Mercedes Benz Warranty Extension on a CPO Vehicle

If you don't service your own vehicle, $5k in repairs will be easily met within 4yr/48k . Good deal. The car is already 8yrs old. So..... probably just moments away from valve cover gaskets, belt/pulleys, engine mounts, intake manifold..... no telling.
