Trying to figure something out with the bleed screws, specifically on the front calipers.

I'm trying to determine if I have some brake fluid seepage past the bleed screws. I've had the calipers apart before (installed high temp piston boots last Fall) but cannot remember if there were any sort of rubber seals associated with the bleed screws (maybe internal to the caliper). The paint on the calipers has been going to hell (though that started before I purchased car) and at track events and/or maybe all the time (hard to tell) the areas around the front (outer at least) bleed screws appears "moist".

There is no separate seal. You can try replacing the bleeder screw, but if that doesn't fix the fluid leak at the bleeder orifice then it is likely the caliper orifice itself. A lot of people over tighten bleeder screws thinking 'tighter is safer' but as you can see in this basic description of how one works, tightening too much probably just damages things. First thing I would do is try to remove the bleeder screw if it is very hard to get out, it was probably over torqued.
