What are the differences? Mounting points? Width? Height? etc etc. I'm curious if a regular C300 bumper would fit on the 63 (this is just about fitment ignore cooling holes etc) I looked and most places say the body is the same width the 63 just has more flared fenders. does anyone know?
explain? as in not even close the width is different or the openings are different? this is purely a question if if the DIMENSIONS of the bumper are the same, not if the mounting holes and air vents will line up.. you have compared them?
Yes the width is considerably wider. You would need to do the fenders as well. And they would require some different mounting hardware as they and the hood are longer va the c300. Just leave your c300 and save up for an actual c63...
lol i have a 63 and want to put a 300 bumper on it i've actually owned BOTH and i dont remember the actual bumper being bigger ill have to find one in the wild and measure it...
To clarify for everyone
1. I OWN THE 63 i want to put the 300 BUMPER on it... sleeper style.
2. I KNOW the 63 is wider but I thought that was just rim offset + wider fenders meaning the BUMPER would be the same width?
3. I also know the mounting system would be different, and ventilation would need to be dealt with. purely a dimensions thing.. you know what maybe ill go on the 300 forum and ask someone to measure and settle this.

Question is only stupid because you assume, if all you're implying is a little Bondo on the end to build up the fender area on the bumper, then this will work. So it IS the same width the only difference is the connection points the parts I SPECIFICALLY said I didn't care about?

"its wider" is not and answer to the question of where it was wider at.. is it along the entire length or just the flares at the end... you act like that question is answered somewhere in this thread... its not.
Go out and look at your car if you have one. Look at the fenders and how they line up with the bumper. Now imagine the bumper is 1 3/8" less wide on each side. Will it fit ? Yes it will bolt up it has the same mounting points. But will it line up and fit? No it wont. You'll have to add the less width fender which happen to also be a shorter length so you'll have to change the front substructure and a shorter hood. Or have mad gaps and uneven fender. I guess you could get a custom one off set of less wide fenders and some smaller width rims and tires and have it all line up. Of course no one would spend thousands to make there car literally worse in every possible way just because... so there's some bs smell coming here...
The circular support posts on the front frame that the bumper cover slips onto is almost a full inch wider. Bondo can't make the inside profile of the C300 bumper cover wider.
You could possibly cut the C300 bumper cover in half down the center so you can attach both sides and add "a little Bondo on the end to build up the fender area on the bumper" then add a lot in the center to bring it together.
