Clip near battery keeps coming loose
Hi all

This clip keeps coming loose then car won't start until I give it a bit of a push in.

Does anyone know the best way to fix this?

When you push it in all the way with some force, try pulling the turquoise tab the opposite direction. That “should” lock it in place.

Nice man that's locked now hopefully it stays that way.. that clip has been making the stop start not work for a while because cable would come loose.

Glad I could help and that the tab wasn’t broken, that’s why I put should in quotes. If that turquoise tab was broken or damaged you would’ve had to replace the connector, and a dealer would probably say to replace the whole wiring assembly!! Fingers crossed it stays locked in place now.

Until coding the start/stop function off, I had this connector unplugged on my G550. Interesting that unplugging it prevents your car from even starting.

Wait what? Interesting behaviour on the G-wagne. The only thing (on my model) I noticed was it disables the auto start/stop, and higher rev due to the ECU not being sure of the charge of the battery, so it runs the engine higher to "charge" the battery.

Yes I made a mistake, I quoted your post not realizing you are not OP, so the C 63 that OP had couldn't start the vehicle with the connector unplugged not your G-wagen. Sorry about that.
