Looking for more comfort and no loss of handling when wanted. Not sure if these accomplish the impossible or not.

Just get V3’s you can make them softer than stock if you want by turning down the adjustment.

I installed some on a 172 SLK55. They seemed like they went a little softer than v3's on a 204 C63, This one had the bluetooth module to switch settings around. It was super cool to have the adjustment and dial in without getting out allen keys and spinning knobs. I have no driven an 172 SLK55 on v3's so it's a little apples to oranges. The v3's on a C63 can go softer than stock and stiffer than stock. The whole part about comfort with loss of handling is misleading. There is a lot of bad information and thought that stiff means handles better and soft / body roll means it handles poorly. Technically softer allows the car to utilize the mechanical grip of the tires. The only reason race cars are stiff and ride like crap is they have thousands of pounds of downforce when up to speed. The spring rate has to be so high to support the additional weight. All the current AMG models aside from the black series GT are way over sprung for street use. Drive a lotus and you'll feel what Im trying to explain.

I'll be throwing them on this summer, it's a very niche mod I'd say for people really looking for oem+ functionality. Not a cheap setup at all but everything I've seen it is softer than stock but a fair amount.

Softer than stock on every setting or just the lowest/softest setting? My stock suspension sticks like glue, but I'd like to be able to alleviate some crashing and banging when just cruising.

Just on the softest, Sport is supposedly like stock (P31 anyways) and Sport + is supposedly more aggressive. Will see.

I run KW DDC

You can adjust the damping for each setting via the app.
3 settings - Comfort, Sport & Sport Plus
Interchangeable at a press of the button.

Ride height still need to be adjusted manually with the tool provided.

So yes, comfort can be super soft and comfy, with no lost in driving feel.
When you want more feedback and more feel, sport mode, which i still set the damping to be more than stock and hence softer than stock.
On drag strip and track, full on track mode with minimal damping.

You will definitely have a softer ride that performs better than stock, even on the softest setting. While I don’t remember the stock ride quality of a p31 suspension, I do recall how harsh it was, and this suspension completely eliminates that.

Although this setup offers less adjustability than the V3, it is perfect for the street. The second setting is ideal for canyon driving, while the sportiest setting is for perfectly smooth roads

I never bought the additional $500 module to use the app; I just push the button, which is easy enough. Like many suspension setups, if you slam the car, the ride quality will suffer and you’ll bottom out. However, even with a one-inch drop, the ride quality is still better than stock. The perfect balance was about a 10mm from stock drop. You can see the full drop look on the third hyperlink, a few posts above.
