They must really hate digital light, saw this one at the Whitby, Ontario (Canada) dealership today. The vehicle is tinted to the point you can't even see the interior (so most likely illegal by Ontario standards), and vehicle was locked I assume this vehicle is sold already although it doesn't say sold.

Those 2 dudes look funny, when I saw the video I thought it was a comedy routine.

the sport+ numbers are with race start and brake boosted, respectively. This is apples to apples. What the best case scenario is, etc. IDK. But this is back to back on the same day in the same conditions.

the car is a dog off the line without pre boosting. I've been saying this since first driving the car. Electric turbo must not be doing much of anything at idle for economy reasons or otherwise. This is not including any rolling start so it's not 5 to x, it's from a dead stop.

Saw this on another thread, for those who have a C 43 that sometimes experience check engine lights, this might had been the cause: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post8836342

Very interesting observations by Thomas on the C43 here.

Guy drove the car in two drag races and now it's the "worst car he's ever driven"...

He is usually pretty good but this time he is very biased on the W206 C 43 in a bad way. The W206 C 43 can be capable for the track but is not built for that purpose it is meant to be a pretty speedy daily driver, short of a grand tourer. Driving it purely on the track will never tell the whole story of the car.

To be honest though, after experiencing the new C43 a few more times myself, I do have to say a lot of the car’s charm and draw is the nice feeling interior of the car. I know many people use the hand-built engine as a gauge (or prerequisite) of what should be considered a real AMG, but after getting past the new interior. It’s just a nice, comfortable daily. It feigns sportiness much like many of its competitors and is “meh” to moderately successful in some respects.
it’s not fast, quick, or speedy in any way that resembles “race car”. It’s not supposed to be.
it’s capable and compliant, but not any more than its competitors. To me, the W205 was more AMG than this one; hand-built or not. It’s just not special. Its existence isn’t going to create any new fanboys.

I agree with you, but In Thomas’ defence, though the video did show him to do only two drags, I seriously doubt that he *only* drove it at the track. I think the video felt unfairly biased because the frustrations that he had with the car clearly wasn’t warranted by what we saw on the screen. It’s obvious that he had previous experiences with the car prior to the video that he did not find favourable. The problem is that what we the viewer perceived was him expressing his dislike for a car (he has the right to dislike the car), but rationalized by the context and framing of the video, which was just two races in which the car came in a distant 2nd.

And if they go to a hand built v6, people will complain about not having anything to complain about!

Ah so you have to make blanket statements using microscopic sample sizes (even when larger ones are available) despite pretty much every issue mentioned could be valid as they have all been previously mentioned from other sources? You’re not exactly channeling Sir Francis Bacon yourself, are you?

Yes. Their entire repertoire of content on their channel. You say that their channel sucks based on a few comments on a single video. Over the years, they have produced a bunch of high quality videos and reviews that are both entertaining and journalistically valid. The larger sample size suggests that the quality of the content on their YouTube channel is actually opposite of what your conclusion of their channel is.
