reaction times seem extremely slow here, almost intentionally favoring the w205. You can see the w205 rolling away before the w206 driver even lifts on the brake in the drag race. Now, of course I don't know how they stitched together B roll and how many times they raced, etc.

Here is the usa, the base q50 red sport is 1.9k less then the new c43 base.

Well he is not in USA I guess, so it isn;t quoted in USD.

Edit: Turns out he is in Canada, makes sense, as the W206 C 43 is way more expensive in Canada than the USA in terms of base price and especially out of the door price.

MB Canada is trying to stop AMG sale there by pricing them 40% higher than non AMG cars which is a much greater margin than in U.S. And if that doesn't stop the customers, they come up with artificially low resedules.
Then of course the Canadian dollar is weaker than Trudeau's brain power, or Canadian sun or both.

Sure it makes sense, but reviewers are using Canadian problem as some overall reason not to get it. Look at the comments in video, people are saying the cost difference isn't worth it but they don't even live in canada. So these reviews are skewing things. But whatever.

Hmmm, hopefully the video uploader adds a comment and pins it stating the MSRP for the two cars in both markets, and if so also include the CAD direct conversion resulted amount to illustrate their point on how they came up with $35,000 more? Perhaps a breakdown of the cost will help as well.

MB seem to have such planned, I don't know what other model they are trying to move instead as the EQ lineup are also way more expensive than the USA plus there are no incentives and residuals are terrible. That said, the E 63 non-FE wagon is priced way lower here after being equipped but apparently there aren't any buyers interested.

and his q50 vs w206 clocked the w206 at 12.4...

It's brand new car with an updated software for transmission perhaps. In previous tests by experienced drivers, they suspected the tranny could be a reason for slower times.
I am not sure if BMW was x drive or not, but should not matter from 30, would even be lighter.

Looks like someone finally got a sample with a fixed transmission. The car is super on the track, very controllable with no noticeable ESP interference in Sport+. Really gives you confidence coming into any turn.
And large screen with this aspect ratio is great for videos / TV when stuck in traffic.
If people have problems with 4 cyl, they should try an EV on the track and see what happens after a few laps.

My SA informed me that the 2024 C43 sedan is awaiting release from corporate, with an update or decision for the US release and base pricing expected in November. My order was completed in September and is sitting in the Alabama distribution center. I was told that a December pick-up date would be likely. The build sheet shows a $294 credit for 894 enhanced ambient. BTW, I placed the order in March.
