Looks a lot darker in real life than in most pics, certainly similar but not as dark as Audi's Nardo Grey.

I'm not even sure journalists have driven the cars yet. Once you start seeing journalists share to social media more pics and videos from press trips, then reviews will be closer, but as of yet, there have only been ride alongs so far, so there is still some time to go.

I believe I was the first person to see the car in person 2 weeks ago. I shared photos with some people online.
While the car looks better in person than on the screen I still don’t know how I feel about it. Interior quality is definitely in A class territory with cheap plastic everywhere. And it’s a huge car, way bigger than the W205..

Good to know! Personally, what I'm really going to be interested in is the CLE 63s e as I'll be looking for the coupe or cabriolet but it's going to be interesting to see if Merc have really managed to offset the extra weight with more power, and better driving dynamics!

That's exactly what I'm interested in the upcoming CLE coupe variant of this, the C236, it looks stunning even with all the camo over it.

It's highly doubtful it'll have more power though, we will most probably see that in the new E class range with the same drivetrain.

It may be more dynamic in coupe form, but it might also end up heavier not lighter than the sedan - that's what happened with the 205 series. We'll just wait and see as always and decide from there

Just so you know that sound part of it according to a walkaround (overview) from autotrader.co.uk seems to be coming from a sound bar in the rear of the vehicle.

Sounds like artificial V8 sound over the external speakers. Audi did something similar when they went diesel with the S models in Europe.

Already on post #76 above on this same page This is a full production spec car so this is exactly what to expect. IMHO it sounds pretty good in that clip although we don't know how much of that is exhaust sound and/or how much of it is manufactured sound...

The first few times I listened to that clip I thought the same thing, but thereafter and even now to my ears it's not a V8 sound at all, it's definitely got a distinct flat 4 boxer sound and burble to it a lot like the old Suby WRX's.

Just watched this one.

Definitely a strong hint of old WRX exhaust note there, not a bad thing considering if it's to be a 4 pot the horizontally opposed flat 4 is the best sounding of the lot
