Bets are on: 4matic or not
And don't worry about the factually incorrect part, the feeling is mutual. And regarding the F80 M3, it has been weighed independently. You're absolutely right.
And it still weighs less than the E90 M3.
Thus still making it lighter than its predecessor.

On a positive, I do like your C63 and that you chose 4 doors and silver paint.
I'll take all of the same, just make mine AWD, and preferably include a DCT.
But yeah, sure, I guess it's only a driver's car if it can do burnouts and donuts.
Power is nothing without control.
The E63 and S63 requires 19" wheels at a minimum to clear the added components for 4Matic.
Some of you might say that the S model will get AWD and not the Non S. I highly doubt MB would spend money on crash testing two different drivetrains for the S and non-S. That is why North America doesn't get the RWD only E63. It's why all the C-coupes get the pano roof.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Ferrari FF is awd but Ferrari 458 speciale and LaFerrari are rwd. Lambos seem the be the only exception but even the Balboni edition is rwd. For a daily driver I guess awd is better for everyday usability, but they already offer the rest of the range in AWD, so im glad theres an RWD model for fun/ driver engagement

Adding 4MATIC to the C63 will ruin that driver involvement and fun factor, turning it into a completely different car.
Up here in the north east with all the rain, snow and generally cold weather, awd would be a godsent.
Appart from the dry warm days in the summer, witch are few, you can't put the power down with a c63 from a stop.
With awd, max accel, rain or shine even in cold weater.
More car reviews need to do track testing in the wet (both drag and race course.)

On the other hand, with the e55, just turn the traction control and have fun going sideways...interesting the reactions you get when you drift an e-class through intersections
Give me a break.
News Flash: The "Fun" of a car is already ruined when you start moving past 3,000lbs.
If you want a FUN car, buy a LIGHTWEIGHT COUPE.
The C63 is a LUXURY car for COMMUTING on the STREET, that has improved performance for it's class.
The C63 is NOT a performance focused coupe, and FAR from a race car.
Give daily drivers the option of AWD for it's purpose: safely and efficiently commuting while dealing with multiple road conditions and temperatures.

No offense, but when I hear crap like "it will ruin the fun of the car" it makes me LMFAO.

Apparently this needs repeating, but the C63 is a car that primarily oversteers. This is what I want. How many times do I have to say that adding AWD to such a car will fundamentally change the way it handles and basically ruin that experience

Did you say the C63 is a commuter car?
It's curb weight and transmission prevents it from being anything else.
If you spent anytime at a track, you would know that.
Saying that AWD prevents fun and oversteer just mean that you have no real world experience with cars equipped with performance AWD.
If you want to be a Fast and Furious drifter, why the hell would anyone buy a C63 instead of a lightweight coupe or a purpose built drift car?
For someone who spent the majority of his teens and 20's inducing oversteer in his daily driver before some ricer coined the name "drifting", a 4,000lb car for drifting just makes me shake my head. And yes, I have experience inducing controlled oversteer on just about everything with tires at this point in my life.
This thread is about RWD based cars with REAL engines and performance focused AWD like AMG and Porsche V8 SEDANS.

The CLA45/A45 is a JOKE.....and the MSRP is HILLARIOUS.
The only thing "AMG" on that car is the AMG emblem. Nothing on that car is worthy of the AMG name.
PS
I fixed my original post for you in RED for those who may mistake a CLA45 as a real AMG.

Pure engineering insanity, as expected of AMG
