Hi I have c63s and today the black screen won't turn on!!! I've tried ever button but all that comes on is the rear view camera and the aircon display! I can't get the radio, navi or get the car settings up!!! Has anyone had this problem?

This is one of those "is your computer plugged in?" questions, but have you made sure you didn't turn it off with the on/off button? It's the volume control wheel in the center (near the touch pad... small one). It is not just a scroll wheel, but a button. Press it to make the screen go dark. Not sure if some things still display when you do that like climate.

No I think it's a software or comand console issue! I've pressed every button and even if I wanted to turn the screen off when it was working I don't think you can. It always stays on.
I've tried everything and thinking of disconnecting the battery terminals and reconnecting

You CAN turn the screen off by pressing the button I talked about. That's why I mentioned it. A lot of people don't know it's a button. They just think it's a scroll wheel. Just making sure that you tried that one in your "pressing every button" routine (just because not everyone knows that it's actually a button).

This is the button I'm talking about:

Someone else is bound to do this so it's good that there is a thread on it. Glad you got it back on.

This worked for me.

The volume scroll when depressed would beep but not change anything.

That button only switches the radio on/off. Or when long pressed the screen in the middle can be turned off.

The car I drive randomly opens with both screens remaining pitch black. No speed info, no sat nav, no radio, media or phone information at all.
I press the command button when the car goes "what would you like to do?" Then I say "display on", then there car responds "display is on" when in reality, no, both displays are actually black.

Thanks for posting this. I've just had exactly that problem & the advice here has sorted it. I didn't know the 'wheel' was a button either....

Thanks so much. I had no idea it was a button. I had adjusted the volume and then though the system had failed. Turned out I pressed the button!

THIS IS THE FIX - Thanks!
Thank you dadalink7 this is the fix for a black screen. I have a ‘21 G63 and my screens were black this morning. You saved me!!! I did have to hold down on the “power” button for five seconds before the screen turned on though.
Thanks again!

It's happens to me 2 times already. I have a C63S AMG 2019 FL. I would say it has something to do with a software update. Just a guess.

command center screen is blacked out.
Good evening, i have a 08 cl 63 AMG and the command center screen was going in and out. It is completely blacked out now. I have pressed down the on off roller wheel button and I have also held down the cd eject button for over 20 seconds. Any idea what else it could be? Thank you.
