You've also got sonny from Autowerks. Plenty of options in Aus. Sonny and Allen are your safest bets.

Quote: Thx, but not a piggyback. I would love the Dinan full tune, over OBD with full warranty... But I'm probably hoping too much.
Dinan is actually looking to do a fully warranted piggyback tuner on the 4.0L motors. Sounds like the wheels are moving over there for them to come to the market with some higher end stuff

I thought the Dinan tune was a full tune, versus piggyback???

Dinan sells both ECU and piggyback applications. I just sent an email to our rep to see what is in the works

No. Dyno tuning is available for $150/hr and is not included. For dyno before and after tuning please allow 8hr - 2 days for turnaround. Same day turnaround not available for tune and dyno.

I have the OE tune in my C63S coupe, zero issues and I didnt do a dyno tune as they have done so many that I trust the shelf version. Its just a great plug and play tune.

Quote: This a great thread, thank you.

Can you update date all of us who are waiting for an OBD2 tunes to be released.

Im in Australia so can't pull my ecu and send over seas everytime before and after servicing.

My luck it would get lost overseas someone.

Are there any any companies actively working on cracking the OBD2?
Found this on eBay for the C450. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBD2-Power-B...QAAOSw8lpZHHS7
Does this suggest that they cracked the ODB2 encoding on the W205? Or is this guy selling something different?

Piggyback generally means they just attach onto the turbo cables.

ECU tune means they took out the ECU/DME and hacked it.

Is yours just cables that connect? No dismantling of ECU?

I know.

Was just providing a point of reference of capability of the Dinan piggyback vs stage 1 ECU flashes.

No i knew that, i was just curious if what you had was a piggy back. I thought you had a ECU tune from them that was prototype.

It's a piggyback. My ECU is still buried in my engine bay, untouched.

Need good tuner in so-ca.
So I have a fully built 2016 C63s AMG, white on red. I’ve had Weistec do all the work so far, w.3 turbo upgrade, catless 3” down pipes, intakes, water/meth injection kit, built bulletproof transmission with larger tranny oil pan and cooler, race clutch, stand alone AFR and boost gauge plus water/meth controller. After the nightmare I had over 8 months and over a dozen trips to Weistec the car is finally complete, I won’t mention the cost of all this but I will say about $8,000.00 of it was caused by tuner error. Which leads me to my question, I need a very good tuner in Southern California that I can take my car and have it custom dyno tuned. The cars running fine and all, it’s just not making the power or hitting the boost lvl it should be after doing $25 grand in mods. After 8 trips back and forth to Weistec strictly for tuning issues, to this day my car has yet to see there actual dyno. My ecu is relocated and can be removed within 5 minutes, and that’s all they’ve ever done to it was flash it with I believe the same tune there shop car has as my C63s is identical to there’s when it comes to upgrades. Another words I don’t know what kind of power it’s making but my max boost peaks at 18-19lbs throughout all the gears, I was told it would be set to 24-25lbs, my AFR is rich, throttle response is extremely laggy and the power just isn’t consistent. I don’t want to get to in depth with its tuning issues, and the car isn’t running bad or has any lights on. I’m just wanting to know if anyone here has had better luck with another local tuner that does custom tunes? The car should be throwing minimum 650-700 HP to the ground with my setup and I watched another one with identical mods run a 10.76 quarter mile at 132mph with a stock transmission. I have a lot of experience with racing and mechanics and my car is no where near thoes times. I haven’t tracked it since completely all the work as I’m just breaking in the new turbo system, upgraded tranny and race clutch, but I’d like to verify it’s tuned perfectly. Thanks in advance for the replies or help on this topic. I’m not ******* Weistec either, as I’m sure my situation was a fluke (or atleast I hope it was lol), but after all the trips and very detailed emails and discussion we’ve had pertaining to my tuning issues, I’m not confident they can deliver what I’m looking for. At the very least I would have thought a simple dyno pull would have been done, as I asked for that three times, just to see where I’m sitting at but there dyno wasn’t working or taken on every occasion. If your interested in the details you can email me for more specifics of my experience with them.

I don't understand how Weistec is still in business. I feel like I hear a horror story about them on a consistent basis. Sorry for your troubles man. I would hit up Golan @ AutoTalent who is the creator of this thread. He can definitely set you up with a dyno tune. Got my PP-Performance tune from him and we did a couple of revisions on the dyno.

ecu tune to c63s amg 2017 coupe
I am looking to do a ecu tune but can a ecu tune be unplugged before a dealership service appointment or is ecu a permanent tune?

It's "permanent" in that the tune is flashed into the computer itself. It's not a separate physical thing you can unplug. If you're looking for that, you're looking for a piggyback tune.

You're posting in three different threads about the same thing.....looks like you want catless downpipes and a tune but you're worried about the service dept. noticing your ecu tune? Just go for the Weistec package and get all your stuff with actual ecu tune and warranty. You're really not gonna hide any suspicions with modified exhaust.

RaceChip has also had one since 2015, and just came out with new designed GTS Black chip this month for the C63S. Made in Germany, TUV approved, dyno tested, has Bluetooth/iOS/Android support, and can be had for $710 (non Bluetooth) or $760 (Bluetooth) with a 10% promotion they’re currently running.

It uses 5 sensors (same 4 sensors as Dinan, but with an additional 5th sensor for camshaft/timing).
