Lease/Tuning questions

Hey Guys, first post here.. coming from the bimmer forums.
Looking to get rid of my M4,
For those of you who lease.. how much do you pay for your c63s coupes? looking to get one.

also, what are the tuning options? i know all tuning related things for BMW but nothing about mercedes lol.

Are dealers uptight about mods? with bmw you usually can go into service for oil changes etc without them caring..

Are there any known problems with tuning?
the new m3/4 are known to have a problem with the crank hub tuned or not. i was tuned so i had a greater chance of it happening to me, new m engines suck.
thanks!

I know leases are not good on this car. upwards of 1200 a month for a decently loaded coupe.
there are numerous thread on the tuning options so def try a search and read. to summarize your only real option is for a flash tune offered by many companies. stage 1 is a flash only stage 2 is a flash with downpipes. no real issues with tunes besides the piggybacks that have caused issues like limp mode and other reversible problems. to tune the car the ECU must be pulled and it is in a hidden location that is not easy to get to. figure a couple hours to remove, flash, and install again so not something you can do quickly for a service.
as far as dealers it really depends. my dealer was cool when i had some issues with my exhaust valves on an aftermarket unit. others can be dicks and flag you if they want.
there has been some minor known issues but nothing serious like that on the M

thanks! can you refer some companies that do flash tunes? Piggybacks as well. I had a jb4 (piggy) on my m4. No problems with it but the crank hub thing was bound to happen

I would start here in regards to tuning:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...ng-thread.html

Kleeman offers a piggyback right now. Dinan is also developing one for release soon.

Early piggybacks had various issues. The latest gen Rebellion piggyback worked great for me for months, however.

There's a few piggyback vendors: Rebellion, Vivid come to mind, and Dinan (which you should be familiar with in the BMW world) is currently prototyping a piggyback tune on my car.. which should be available on the market in the next month or so.

I've heard of PP Performace, how does one in LA get a hold of these guys? Any dealers here?

not sure about PP, but when Dinan releases theirs, that would probably be the one to look at
