Maybe I'm behind the power curve on this. They don't ship to California?

Arma Speed?

So on the topic of other options, has anyone had any experience with Arma Speed?
They seem to be taking a tack closer to that of BMS (with slots in the airbox), but blending a little weistec in there too (with ram air couplers). The price is obviously in line with Weistec, but was thinking you might actually be able to hear the turbos spool up in addition to the carbon fiber look.
Thoughts?

They look nice, but as usual with 205 systems, you're paying for the CF. I highly doubt there is going to be much of a power difference between any of the systems

I have the Weistec Airboxes and there is noticeable difference in turbo spool noise. Makes it sound like you have blow off valves. Here’s a video of flyby:

The Bov sounds are interesting and I think I will get VTA adapters, but I’m mostly interested in the turbo spooling up (kind of like whining) sounds.

are you able to hear that?

likely you’re correct. After all, anyone who knows Turbo cars knows that just sticking a mesh screen on the turbo inlet will produce the most power (I can hear the CAI people lining up with pitch forks). There’s a reason all the 1500+ hp 911’s, GTR’s, twin Turbo mustangs, supras etc all just run a screen on the inlet. Just not smart at all for street use. Anyway, point being, carbon doesn’t matter. Just get the thing as short and bendless as possible.

It was, to an extent. There was no one who owned one, so I was hoping someone had picked one up since.

My friend had one on his 16 c63s coupe , fitment and quality were great. I had stock air boxes with panel filters but same mods otherwise (pure 800”s down pipes and exact same tune) I made 497kw at the engine and he made 505kw , this tune was only 15psi so with more boost the delta might be larger

I see the BMS one is up. Seems like a steep price bump for minimally more material than the c43 design. I get it, up Market car, r&d, blah blah blah.

More material, more pieces for welding, couple machined parts and pieces. Heat shields are multiple pieces that had to be welded. More labor in this vs the C43 intake system.
Finally up and ready for purchase and at least half the cost of what's on the market right now

Man, I was so excited about this mod then I saw the pictures and disappointed. All along, I thought it will be fully enclosure air box but it not. Please tell me I’m wrong because I really want to do this mod

We don't believe in closed airboxes. That defeats the purpose of free flowing and creates a restriction. Imagine trying to breathe with a straw in your mouth lol.

Payam- Regarding your sales/emissions issue in California. I am a resident of Florida, and my vehicle is registered in Florida. I am military, stationed in California. Will BMS ship to my house in CA since my vehicle is not subject to California's silly laws?

This is correct. The LAST thing you should want on a turbo car is a closed airbox.

Nevermind, already got told no by your sales staff. I've never heard of a company not being able to ship to a specific stae before. What you do to your car should be on you, not the company. Every other manufacturer ships to CA. I wish I didnt wait for this intake for months only to have to buy a different one anyway

Tell that to the Famous Shelby aftermarket for Mustang, Weistec ...etc You can have both with bigger pipes, filters and enclosure box for cool air. Since I’m running higher boost with stock intercooler that might already be max out. I don’t think it can keep the air temp down with an open air box that pretty much suck in 20-30 degree increased in hotter air. I really though it going to look like this ...,
