Active sound module

I have a late production (12/16) 2017 C63S Edition One Coupe with Performance Exhaust. And I have the secondary cat delete. And exhaust firmware update.
I installed the ASR module, took all of a whopping 5 min. I installed it with the car off. Started it, in Comfort mode. Loud cold start, then got quiet. Used the ASR remote, and can readily hear the exhaust get louder in Position 1. But pretty much the same volume (to my ear) as when I simply press the Performance Exhaust button (pre-ASR install). So it works. Good.
So I let the car idle with it connected for about 10 min, then turned it off. Let it sit for about 20 min, then jumped in and drove off to work.
This thing is noticeably QUIETER than prior to the install. Prior to the install, I can get the exhaust to be LOUD with only moderate throttle input, while in Comfort mode. And naturally, when in Sport+, it's just LOUD.
But now, post-ASR module, its a LOT quieter and more muffled, no matter what mode I put it in (1 or 2, exhaust valve button open or closed) while in Comfort mode. In Sport+, it definitely gets loud, but I'm fairly certain its not as lout as pre-ASR module. More importantly, it was my understanding that this would result in the valves being 100% open when opened by the keyfob, regardless of the car mode (eg Comfort). So I can run around in Comfort suspension with the exhaust LOUD. That's absolutely not the case thus far.
Again, I checked with the car idling if the keyfob works; there's definitely a noticeable difference. But its definitely not louder as others have mentioned, than pre-ASR, at least for me.
Will give it another try while driving in the morning. But for now, I'm really disappointed... :/
When activating the car (so ignition and electronics on but no motor start), keep pressing the 'valves open button' on the key until you here the valves from the exhaust performing a repeated on/off sequence.
Now your ASR is programmed to always start with open valves... maybe yours was programmed to use 'Serien mode'...
Hope this might help.

I disconnected the module and reconnected the factory harness, and yea...definitely much louder.

I’m honestly at a loss as to what causes the idle to get quieter since the two rear valves are forced open with the ASR and the h-pipe valve connector is physically disconnected with a sim. So surely it should not be able to function or move based on brake pressure. I’m starting to believe that the idle/brake sound is more so a function of the ECU (not just the valves), and may require some deeper digging into reprogramming/flashing to get the desired sound.
