W205 C63S Aftermarket street brake pad options

Does anyone have any good recommendations for low dust aftermarket street brake pads for a 16 W205 c63s? (Non Carbon Ceramic)

Trying to search around but not finding much. What is a good site to purchase from?

Thanks in advance!

Porterfield R4-S is what people are using for low dust and good street performance.

I just had these fitted to my red calipers and I'm super happy with the stopping performance and reduced dust.

Fronts AP1291 R4-S
Rears AP1669 R4-S

Full set, front and rears shipped to Australia for the same price as the genuine rears from Mercedes parts.

That is awesome! I’m sure the sedan and coupe are the same cause I am about to purchase. Thanks

Topbrakes.com says Hawk HPS 5.0 also available for front and rear. The last time I checked, they didn't have a full set for the C63S.

Those pads have also received good reviews.

Thanks I selected 2017 and it only showed front silver but when I ordered I used the year 2016 and it gave me both options. I will try anything to minimize the brake dust

I'm curious what the pad difference is between red and silver calipers because to my eyes they look the same. I figured the actual difference is the caliper bracket since the S brake discs are larger.

I need some help. I have a 2016 C63 (non S) Estate with the grey calipers. I bought the R4-S Porterfield pads online and confirmed with the company that the correct parts I needed were:

AP1873 for the fronts https://www.porterfield-brakes.com/p...roductID=31391
AP1450 for the rears https://www.porterfield-brakes.com/p...roductID=19410

These are the ones that come up when you use their model search online. I was kind of expecting the rears to be the same as the C63S, but then reading the thread link above, I can see why they might be different.
But - the mechanic that is fitting them says the rears are not correct and they don't fit. Fronts are fine.

Has anyone else replaced their pads on a non S C63 with the R4-S from Porterfield? What's the correct pad to use?

The website says your AP1450 are correct for the "Silver Caliper".

For the "Red Caliper" it says "AP1669"

Hopefully someone with actual experience putting these on can confirm.

When you compare the AP1450 image on their website with the AP1669, they are very different. Given both the S and non S appear to have the same size rotor, I would expect the pads to be very similar (if not the same).

AP1669

AP1450

I had these on my last C63 (W204) and loved them. Can't wait to get them again to replace these damn dusty OEM pads.

I can't wait to get them either! My kid asked me the other day if I had new black wheels on the car because of all the brake dust, LOL!

I use these on my '17 C63s coupe. I highly recommend them. I think I paid about $450 USD for the complete set directly from Porterfield.

For anyone interested, I can now confirm the rear pads are the same on the S and the non S. Got them fitted today.

For the non S (grey calipers), the correct part numbers if you want the R4-S pads are:

AP1873 for the fronts https://www.porterfield-brakes.com/p...roductID=31391
AP1669 for the rears (same as the C63S) https://www.porterfield-brakes.com/p...roductID=25787

The stopping power feels similar to stock. Less
Brake dust and no squeal that I used to get after a few days driving on stock pads.
Still a little early to do a full assessment but signs are looking good.
And these a much cheaper for me (In NZ) than the stock pads from Mercedes. They work out about half the price.

How easy are they to change? I’ve changed pads before on Camrys and stuff but not a MB. Anything special to watch out for? Any particular YouTube video that matches what I’d be doing?
