Pops and crackles
If we're talking about pops and just plain revving, mine will do that too, particularly after aggressive drives. There will days that I get nothing but that's when I've been driving around normally. After almost a year of ownership, I seriously suspect the backfires are programmed to how the car is being driven rather than on demand 24/7 like the pre-FL. When I was canyon carving hard in Austin, the backfires were crazy and nonstop all over the power band. Never had the exhaust been so aggressive other than when the car was being driven that hard.
Anyways, it'll be hard to know for sure if the facelift UAE exhaust is similar to the US one, but I'm sure we'll know after rokenr releases the driving video
I'll be getting my 2020 C63s Coupe in the next few days, just waiting for the vpc to release it to the dealership so I'll find out for myself soon.
Volume is no longer an issue for me after installing the ASR module to keep valves 100% open. All I'm missing is the pre-FL downshift pops and it'd be perfection
He comes on here, pretends to give a sh*t, shared his little videos and got free clicks off you lot. Hook line and sinker.
For those who feel the need to share these click-baity videos/channels/people like Remove Before Race, please don't. We are sick of these sh*t kicker Youtubers and their bullsh*t money-hungry videos.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Apologies for not posting here more often guys, but I’ve tried to keep in touch with many of you and update my Instagram on this topic. I’ve still been talking in the background with AMG and I’m still lumbered with a C63S that I don’t like or want. I can’t see anything changing, it’s only getting worse in every new car I try. AMG engineers are crying about how things will be even worse in the future, so I don’t see much hope if you’re in the EU.
My GT R Pro feels quieter than our new C63S’ sometimes, and though it bangs on downshift, still seems to limit them as the C63 does. The AMG cars in the Middle East and Australia (apparently) seem unaffected for now, though I know the OPF has creeped into these territories it seems the software is not throttling the sound.
I’ve resigned myself to the fact that if we buy cars in the UK/EU and want nice sound then it’s either old AMGs or we have to do something aftermarket.
i personally feel we were miss-sold a product considering how the exhaust on the press cars was different, but they can probably wriggle out of that due to reg changes.
If anything changes I’ll post here for sure.
Finally got your attention after 6 months of radio silence. Sad that I've had to call you out just to get a response. Let me guess, you've been too busy "filming" to bother responding to other members before I started?
Post your click-bait somewhere else. Don't pretend to care just to get views on your videos here.

If you love the community, help these guys get a word through to AMG about this (if you can). If you can't, it's all good mate. Keep doing your thing on Youtube.

Can’t tell unless he gets it on the road and see what the pops are like and if it will do on downshifts
All the facelifts have less crackly exhausts, but my understanding was the major volume neutering was UK-only
Shmee found similar volume differences between UK and US cars including even the Ford GT and Senna
Catching up on the thread, loving the mods being done here! 😆 Will refer people looking for solutions back to this thread.

Though I didn’t update here, I did my fair share of leg work behind the scenes including sending AMG Germany press comparison videos of press vs final, at their behest. Initially they weren’t even acknowledging it.
In the end they say it comes down to regs, but when my GT63S is newer and makes more noise I don’t know what to believe.
I’m visiting them again after March I hope, so I’ll try and push the topic a final time, just to see if an update looms.
I struggle to keep up with forums so as I always say please PM me here and keep an eye on my Instagram (as many of you here do) and this type of stuff i will post updates on.

To check, if your car has the new software, one can try the following procedure:
1. Accelerate in "S+" to ~4,000rpm and lift the throttle. You should hear at least (!) 4 exhaust pops.
2. Also, when slowing down in "S+" to a standstill, the 2->1 Shift should take place at 10mph (with the old software it was at around 15mph).
I went out tonight to check if I had the updated software in mine. Apparently so, as my car will downshift into 1st at around 18-19km/h (11mph).
Don't know if mine sounds the way it should or if it's been neutered? In S+ when I accelerate to 4,000rpm and lift the throttle, I only get one "bang"

In P, in S+ this is a video of mine at a 5,500rpm rev i did tonight:

Btw I'm at 5k miles now and cars pops, bangs and crackles a lot just not as loud as the pre facelift.

ah it’s all good man, all of you guys are awesome just ignore the bad eggs; and I did go quiet last year after getting busy, so it is what it is!
Roken is a content creator! He received a press car and filmed it! Do you think he knew the production cars would sound different? Of course not!
And you guys really have to be blinded with rage to think the guy doesn't love AMG and isn't as angry about this as the rest of us. The reality is, NONE OF US can make it change. Its extremely sad, but the change in sound seems to be a reality we just have to accept. I came to the conclusion that, even though my car is a lease, I had no choice but to take a knife to the exhaust. If it was financially realistic for me, I'd get an aftermarket setup. But for now, ASR and secondary cat delete is all I can do.
Do I feel I was misled into choosing this car? Absolutely! Is it all Roken's fault? Absolutely not!
There were several videos posted of press cars which misrepresented what we were buying into, but we can't blame the content creators because at the end of the day, maliciously or not, the were unknowingly used by MB to portray these cars as something they aren't.
Must be kind of frustrating though, I understand that
