These look like 1-piece? Anything that sets your downpipes apart from others (particularly others with a lower price point)?
They are two piece.
I'm not sure exactly which downpipes you want me to compare them to.
The Kooks downpipes fit perfectly, are made in the USA by a company that has been specializing in the high performance exhaust business for a very long time. They are in stock and ready to ship so we can have them to you very quickly.
We used to sell our own downpipes for the E63 and the CLS63, then I had Kooks make me a set for the E63 and they were very different from what we made. They cost us more to buy them from Kooks but they did such a great job with them, we decided it was worth the money. They make them for the AMG-GT and they are the best fitting downpipes for that car as well.
They fit perfectly on the C63 so I do not find a need to use any other downpipes.
There is always something cheaper and something more expensive, Some are worse and some may be better but I have not found a better set of downpipes for these cars yet. It's hard to tell from the photos but Kooks uses a really high end bending machine, you will see that the bends are ultra smooth and it is all done with one continuous pipe. You also can't tell that Kooks uses a very expensive machine to do a double flare on the ends that you don't see on any other brands downpipes. It's these little details that differentiate these pipes from the competitors brands to me.
If you are interested in adding downpipes to your car then you should consider all the brands available for your cars, choose what you think is best for you.
Kooks is well regarded in the domestic tuning world. They make some of the best headers out there.
Yes they are, they have been doing it for a very long time as well. They also have a pretty up to date manufacturing facility and have heavily invested in the company to stay up to date with the latest equipment needed to build a superior product.
Kooks are a very good company , well known in the drag racing crowd . I had kook 3 step headers on my 8 second Mustang and they fit perfect in a tight engine compartment
