2019 C63S Deliveries
#326
I would definitely ask for a loaner based on your situation. Btw, I didn't even put any deposits when I did my built in Nov. My car is supposed to go to production early Jan. Any thoughts? Can also someone guess my delivery time range? It's a C63S Coupe with Aero and HUD in case it matters...

Good news for anyone waiting for a C63s Coupe with the Aero pack, just got word from my dealer that my car has been in transit from Germany and should be in Baltimore some time next week, so I'm hoping to have the pickup ready by next weekend (pending any customs delays here), very excited!

EDIT: Never mind, I overlooked the C43 only part in the order guide. Disregard everything .

Mine arrived just this past Monday, December 17th in Miami, Florida, USA. I refused the car because I had ordered Iridium Silver Magno matte paint and they had panted it metallic black because of problems with the Magno paint. So, if anyone is interested in a 2019 C63 (non-S) Coupé with Red Pepper interior and performance exhaust, try calling Mercedes-Benz in Coral Gables, Florida or PM me and I'll put you in contact with my salesman who was every bit as upset as I was when my car arrived in the wrong paint color.

I've actually contemplated magno or wrapping with Xpel stealth, but I've abandoned both. The matte paint effect had me intrigued but after seeing a few, they don't pop for me like a gloss color. The gloss color looks better under the California sun IMO. I also didn't want grey and there is no black magno. Maintenance was a concern as well. From everything I'm hearing, matte colors are difficult to maintain. Simple things as fingerprints can be a problem, so I would have ended up wrapping the whole car with Xpel stealth anyway. Wrapping the whole car is around $5000. That just didn't end up making sense to me, either way, so I went with Obsidian Black Metallic and like with my current car wrap the complete front, mirrors, door edges and rear bumper. Since I'm doing ED, I was even considering getting it wrapped in Germany with Xpel Stealth. I found an installer in the Stuttgart area and the cost is about the same as here, but higher taxes. Not wrapping right away if I had gotten magno since I'm staying for 2 months in Europe was too big of a risk to me. What I will do now most likely is wrap the most exposed parts with Xpel tracwrap as soon as possible after pickup and then get the front etc. wrapped in the US. With my last car I stayed a month and ended up with a couple of small chips while in Europe.

the graphite grey magno is really close to black. I just picked up my 2019 s coupe last week. This is an actually surprising color in the sun. It has metallic flake if blues greens and reds. It’s an amazing color. All the talk about the maintenance and care of the paint is true. I did a full wrap in SunTek ultra matte. I think it turned out great.

lol. not here. I never got a really good look at the differences before I ordered back in early Aug. There were no pics in the DOG, no configurator anywhere yet (that I knew of, anyway), and the build software was confusing on what would be CF and what wouldn't be. I wasn't going to put up that much $ sight unseen and while I wanted the sportier spoiler (I had deduced it was the Edition One spoiler), I wanted it in CF more. Had I known then what I know now from the forum thread (yours, I think), I probably would have added it after all. But, no regrets here.
