The Mercedes dealership near me is outrageously expensive, apparently. But the choice is to drive an hour or more to the next nearest dealership to get service and that's out of the question, so I just have to accept it, I suppose. I plan on keeping this car for a long time and have 4 years of factory warranty so I don't want to trust service to anyone other than Mercedes. I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes that mine is a Cabriolet and not a Coupe or sedan, nor that it is an S model (C63S) and not a non-S.
If you live in Broward County, Florida, don't service your car at M-B of Ft. Lauderdale (An AutoNation company). The only problem is that I think most of the M-B dealerships in the Ft. Lauderdale area are owned by AutoNation so one would have to travel to Miami to get serviced by a dealership not owned by them.
You're not going to trust an independent mechanic with 30 years of working on Mercedes to change your oil and replace a filter? You're willing to pay an extra $1,000 for that every 10,000 miles?
Materials cost on the 10K service is ~$80, it'll take one mechanic around 1 hour tops, so you're paying them rates usually reserved for top flight lawyers... Folks like you are the reason why those costs are so high, because as long as they can get away with it, they'll continue to gouge people for their money.

Of course there is an * and pricing very by dealer but if you pay more than 20% more then what the manufacture quotes the dealer is having there way with you because they know their are tons of people in that area who don't even look at the price. I use to live in Florida and there were 3 dealerships within a 30 mile radius of me. Got tired of the BS of one and went to the next best place. Saved a lot of money on the same repairs the other dealer quoted and they were both owned by Fields. Your case is so extreme I would contact Mercedes Benz North America and AutoNation corporate. Those rates are even higher than what some of the greedy So-Cal dealerships charge.
Did you get any kind of notice from dealer that it was on the way, or did it just show up?
Yes, SA texted me last Friday saying it would be here late this week. Very nice it showed up a few days earlier than expected. My car was just produced on the 2nd.
My C63S coupe with the Aero pack just came in, dealer texted me the pics below, can't wait to pick it up Saturday!

My car is a 2018 CPO which means it's a used car even though it had only 950 miles on it when I bought it last month. Therefore, MBUSA has no control over how dealers service used cars and they can charge whatever the market will bear. I checked with my former dealership and learned that their price for a 3-year prepaid maintenance program on a CPO AMG would be around $2100 which is $1500 less than my stealership charged me. They also said that the 3 years of maintenance they'd provide if I were to pay-as-I-go would work out to around $3100, about $2K less than my stealership claims they'd charge for a la carte service. Bottom line is: caveat emptor. I should have been more attentive but I was starry eyed over my new ride and didn't hear the alarm bells going off in my head.
I've put them on notice that I know what it should have cost and that I intend to take it to social media and make reviews on Yelp, Google, etc. and let the world know what kind of scumbags they are.

Sure, I got the Aero pack, no CF packages, just the night package (I'm a fan of gloss black with the blue exterior), below is a (blurry) pic of my order.

Stopped by the dealer today on the way to visit some family and it looks like my car was dropped off over the weekend sometime along with several others. Terrible weather today, but snapped a picture or two.

Did you know yours was on the way? I'm just wondering if I'll get surprised or if I'll get a notice its otw. Been waiting forever now.
I knew when it got to port and ask the dealer about the release from the VPC. There were able to tell me when it was released and the ETA (Tomorrow) to the dealer. Assuming it got there yesterday it made it from port to dealer (Brunswick to Raleigh/Durham) in 5 days total.

Is your car a 2018? I was under the impression that MY2019 cars had a smooth rear bumper without those add-on bumps. Maybe the lack of bumps is just for Europe?

No, MY2019 US spec models still have these. You don't see them on EU spec cars and cars for other markets. They have to do with the US's 5 mph bumper regulations. It's the shape and height of the bumper that mandates these. They are found on other cars as well. A bit ugly and not sure why MB couldn't have designed a bumper that meets the regulation w/o these, but it is what it is.

Only the U.S market has those "bumps" regardless of model year, everywhere else in the World does not

Thank you guys! I picked up the car this past Saturday and have been in the honeymoon phase, I couldn't be happier.
I'm coming from a 2013 E92 M3 which I loved very much, this AMG is a very different driving experience... as expected, it's dominated entirely by the motor and sound (the torque is unreal), it's amazing!
