Ha. You should have seen my first class delivery experience. I walked in signed a check, my car was dirty and parked between two C300s and I put the damned AMG key fob battery covers on myself. That special day will be with me forever.
When did you place your order? I ordered a C63S in November and requested a May delivery. I thought six months would be enough. I don't have an order number yet.
Congrats!!! Now the wait to get on a boat!! I've been waiting since feb 11th for mine to get on a boat. All the other amg's and bmw's I have bought I took delivery 4 weeks after production.. Now it's taking the cars like 3-4 weeks from production just to get on a boat. It sucks but it will make the experience that much better when it finally arrives!!

When did you place your order? I ordered a C63S in November and requested a May delivery. I thought six months would be enough. I don't have an order number yet.
Six months is plenty. I ordered at the beginning of November and at the beginning of December I got my order number, along with a long email from MBUSA European Delivery with lots of info and a bunch of forms I had to fill out. One had to be notarized. These forms need to be returned to them no later than 1 month before delivery. They are required for the registration and insurance in Europe, and to arrange shipping and customs. My car went into production last week, and this week I got the final confirmation and delivery details. Dealer will take payment 30 days in advance, so that'll be end of March/beginning of April, and then May 4 I'll catch my flight and May 6 is my delivery. When in May did you request your delivery? You should definitely have gotten the initial confirmation from MBUSA with the order number etc., so you can fill out the forms and start making travel arrangements.
What is the release time once the car arrives at port location. Obviously travel time to dealership will vary on location, but I am curious how long it sits at port to clear customs and get loaded on a transport to the dealerships? Any insight appreciated.

The vessel arrived at port Kembla on Friday afternoon. I was told the car takes up to 10 working days to arrive at the dealer and after it passes the compliance stage this week. Dealer says they are looking at receiving the car by late next week.
Mercedes really needs to get their arms around the special order process. It's stupid that we're all guessing when we're supposed to get cars.
It is laughable.. When I got a BMW way back in 07' i could track it through the build process and all the way to the dealer. 12 years later Mercedes hasn't even gotten a system for us to check the status. I can track a 5$ amazon package but not a 100k car.. makes zero sense. They cannot even make a proper website to spec the cars. They are NOT internet savvy... it's pretty sad in the world today when everything is online.

The Tamerlane vessel docked here in Brisbane on Monday night 04/03. Have you been told whether or not they’ve cleared customs yet? My dealer has said it can be 10-14 business days from customs clearance.

I have been told that there is a 'HOLD' placed on my car.
I am beginning to suspect that it has something to do with the Magno paint.
It went into production on 15 February with a very similar spec. to yours
I am based in the uk. My car was meant to be delivered 22nd feb. I ordered in january and the build went to plan.
My car was ready to ship and was in logistics and then suddenly had a hold put on it.
I emailed mercedes uk and they looked into it and said there was a "model wide quality control" taking place and they will not know when the car will be released.
Mine was a designo DW with both carbon packs and night pack.
Very frustrating, but appears there are delays everywhere
