I just got word that my car is in.

I won't be able to pick it up until Saturday but that's OK...it's here!

I've got a deal on the table for 9% off msrp for a 19 sedan. Has anyone done better on a inventory car? What % discount for a custom order sedan?

Just so you know, as far as we know the 2019s can no longer be ordered. The window closed last month. All orders are sold out. Order guide for 2020 has been out since March 26 I believe and folks ordering now are getting 2020s. Discounts will probably be lower initially on the 2020s to clear existing inventory, and the 2020s may not get released until September or later. 2020 production is supposed to begin late June from what I heard, but when they will actually be delivered is TBD. The initial batch of 2019 orders sat at the VPCs for months until they got finally released in January and delivered to customers, but that was out of the ordinary because of it being the first year of the refreshed model. A September/fall release is more typical.

Anyone know of a W205 C63S sedan/coupe deal thread or something along those lines around here like on the BMW forums?

I was originally sign to pick up a C63S Sedan of which they gave me 10% off MSRP. When I got my coupe instead they said "umm no way on that kinda discount coupes are rare and in demand". They did give me a little off, by little like 2.5% little. But I wanted the coupe as it had everything I wanted and with the matte I thought looked cooler than the Sedan I was interested in.

Not aware of one. If you are also considering the coupe, I got a no hassle 6%. That's the standard 5% European Delivery discount on an AMG plus the waived $995 destination charge, which on a $100k MSRP is good for another percent. Dealer wasn't willing to go beyond the standard discount and I didn't care too much to push them or shop elsewhere. Some have gotten slightly higher discounts on coupes as far as I know, but honestly another $2k or so doesn't really change much at that level. This was an all-cash deal as well FWIW.

Yep.

Kind of in line with what I was thinking.

Based on the responses here and the PMs I've received, it appears I'm in the 12%+ discount range for a Sedan right now.

The side skirts are gloss black.. working with the dealer to get the credit since they aren’t carbon fiber. Other than that I can’t complain... all the carbon fiber looks amazing. I couldn’t spot any imperfections. Hopefully I’ll pick her up this weekend. The feel of relief is amazing that it’s finally here!!! Ordered 9/5. At least it only took 4 days from when it arrived in Baltimore till it got to the dealer here in Chicago.

Congrats! Looking good....needs a bit of a cleaning . A little less than 2 weeks and I'll take first delivery of mine. Let us know of any news regarding the credit. I'll talk to the delivery personnel in Germany and see what they have to say on the situation.

Sweet ride. My car, which looks to be the twin of yours, is still sitting in Germany waiting for a ride to Baltimore. My trip from the port to Annapolis will be hours upon release. Can't wait to see your car when it is all cleaned up. Keen to hear how your dealer handles the skirts, as I'll need to head down that path as well.

What the plan from now?

Mine will get clear bra front, ceramic, and tint. Still not sure about a drop. New, wider Michelins fairly quickly, and maybe a new set of rims. Still looking to find snows that will fit the MB rims which may prove impossible.

Be sure to let us know about the quality of the car as time progresses.

Congrats.

I can confirm this based on what my dealer. I placed my C63S coupe order 3 weeks ago and the order system would only allow my dealer to build/order a 2020 model. The order guide says 2020 will be on-sale in Q3, so I'm hopeful for an Aug/Sept arrival. Pricing for the 2020 has yet to be released, but should be released in May or June. There are some minor changes (e.g., 64 color LED is now standard), but otherwise the 2020 is a carryover from the 2019.

My dealer (Los Angeles area) agreed to a 5% discount on my order. I felt that was fair after I spoke with 3 other LA-area dealers and they were also in the 3-5% discount range.

2019 C63s Coupe
I have a 2019 ordered at two different dealerships and they both told me they would not negotiate on price until the car was here. I felt that was a bit odd and at the same time I'm worried that I won't have as much power to negotiate price once the car built to my exact spec arrives. Is negotiating a price at the time of ordering or when the car arrives more common and does anyone think it makes a difference in terms of getting a discount on the car? Thanks.

For the first year not much..Change out the tires prob next spring at this rate.. Get a set of winter wheels/tires. I gotta drive the car and feel what it's lacking Esp when I get it broken in and better tires put on it. See how the car hooks up then and make a decision on power. I didn't drive the car but did rev it to 3300-3600rpm in comfort and sport +.. Sounds super mean in S+.. But no pops or bangs or crackling.. though I only did it a handful of times. The car is louder than others I have seen with performance exhaust pre facelift.. But again no pops or bangs to be heard. I hope this stays loud and the pops and bangs come whenever the software gets updated. I know AMG wants them to be there and I am not too worried about it. The exterior with the aero and all the carbon fiber options is unreal. I am elated I chose all 3 options and the interior and steering wheel in CF too.. the front end looks amazing with the selenite metallic, gloss black aero and the carbon fiber diffuser.. same with the rear. All the Carbon Fiber looks incredible!!! I can't wait to get this beast on the road!!!

I got the discount off MSRP in writing from my dealership (we agreed on 5% off MSRP since the pricing for the 2020 model isn't released yet and mine will be a 2020 model). I don't trust dealers for anything they say regarding price...unless it's in writing. Your instinct is correct that you lose leverage when your perfectly-optioned car arrives. They know they've got you because you're not likely to wait another 4-6 months for another one to be built.

Maybe you can discuss with both dealerships that you have the car on order at a competitor and you're willing to keep the order with the dealership that will give you (in writing) the best discount off MSRP. Then you have the dealers competing against each other for your business. Best deal wins, then cancel the other order.

Good luck. Hope it works out for you!

Thanks, I think that may be the best way to handle it, for me and the dealers. I almost feel bad that I ordered two cars knowing that one of the dealers is going to be stuck with one, but if I handle it the way you suggested they will probably still be able to cancel the order at the factory. I just hope they both don't cancel it. Didn't intend to have them compete that way, I only ordered at the second dealership because the first dealer wouldn't give me a production date.

Getting the k40 installed Tuesday then taking it to get detailed and ceramic coated including the turbskis so prob won’t actually have my baby ready to take home until next Thursday. I should have some great pics to share then.
