2019 C63S Deliveries
#1053
Another data point. I was to take delivery of a 19 S two weeks ago. Car delivered with paint damage. Dealer located a similar car in port (Baltimore). Been there since June 4. Still there. SA tells me today that it is waiting for the famous software update. No ETA. Geez. MB will not provide any information on when they will do the update. You’d think they would expedite customer cars. Looking at this thread tells me that’s not the case. So I wait... I wonder how long this will take. A software update should take no time.

Not sure of interest but just got word from my SA that my car has been released for shipping today from Baltimore after being held for about 3 weeks for the software update. SA does not know what was updated. Anyone here have any data on this? Anyway for those waiting for cars at port it seems they are now being processed. My car should be delivered next weekend - hopefully.

Nice. Congratulations. Annapolis is a stones throw from Baltimore so no surprise it’s already there. Mine is being delivered to a dealer in OH so a bit longer journey. Enjoy the car and, yes, let us know if the exhaust has been updated. I am excited that this journey is about to end but realize some on here have waited many months to get their cars...

Mine was ordered around 12/18/18, built 3/12/19, set sail 06/01/19, arrived VPC 06/17/19, released to carrier on 06/19/19 with an ETA at the dealership 06/25/19. I’ve since picked up a ‘19 raptor and am torn on getting rid of it for the c63s — sad, I know.
Build is brilliant blue metallic w/ magma grey/black leather w/ yellow stitching and performance seats, (767) cross-spoke black wheels, (LK6) steering wheel in Napa/dynamic, and it will have (should!) the combination of B28+B26+773+521(night). The rest is “everything” except the carbon ceramic brakes.
I’m excited to see the combination, at the very least.
Not counting my wife’s CPO, this will be my first Merc/AMG and I intend to try to get 10% off on the close if I go forward with it... will see what reality brings there.

The car came with black rear spoiler and black side inserts. I have the manager calling MB folks to get some information about what can be done. I hope to have some answers tomorrow.
My SA had no idea why the cars where held in port for so long. I have the car getting PPF/Tint next week, along with trying to get the orange peel out and a polish. I may go with Ceramic, but I'm leaning against. I'll post pictures once completed.
On my drive home from the dealer ship (30 miles or so), numerous folks got excited looking at the car (DC Beltway).
To me the ride in comfort is just fine and the Performance Seats are also firm, but acceptable. If you like a soft ride, defiantly stay away from them. I drive to Richmond to see family fairly regularly, so I'll report back after that 2.5 hour trip with an update.
These cars look great in pictures, but in person, they look so much better.
No pops or crackles at all. Zero. I'll jump on the phone line to add my name to the list of folks who want this addressed.

The exhaust changes are a concern for me as it *literally* is the primary selling point for me on the vehicle. When I heard a 2018 C63, I realized that AMG got the sound right out the door. V8 sedan/sports vehicles are down to a handful of options at this point, any of which I could make sound as desired after market and two of which I believe get it right out the gate: AMG, and Corvette.Without that differentiation, personally I would see it as a miss to the brand.
I've yet to see or here the 2019.... but with the sound missing, the rest of the options just become icing on the same cake, especially after a 6 month wait.
As best I can tell from the SA's information, order sheet, computer, the three packages were accepted on my order. Orange peel is annoying out the gate.. and in my area (Raleigh/Cary NC) there is close a 1 month lead time for PPF.
What is your quote for PPF? I was quoted 5k (which I think is high) for a full wrap in the 3M gloss or satin.
I'm used to the harsh (read: lively) ride of a corvette or GT-R... I figure the C63S+Performance Seats is likely no worse than those vehicles.

Combing over my order sheet, unless it is lying to me, SA did not add 319, Exterior Lighting Package!@#!# It is literally on every single order sheet we went over, except the one for my car arriving tomorrow. Anyone know if that lighting can be dealer/VPC installed?

I ordered the Exterior Lighting Package but my car won't have the cameras. Does anyone know if the Exterior Lighting Package headlights are better or worse in any way over the standard headlights? Any difference in low beam brightness?

I had this package on my previous car (c450). Not a huge difference.

@Sullicc4 - ok, thank you. $2400 would sound about right.. my quote is 5k for 3m full from one place and 6.5k(!) for xpel from another place. I like having the rest of the coverage because other people are not considerate with their doors in general.

Jason - I am paying 2650.00 for full front as another data point.
