Not sure. The closest VPC to New York would be Baltimore. Maybe they unload in New York for a more direct route and then transport the cars to the Baltimore VPC. Not all VPC are located close to a port or even right by the port.

Then I'm guessing they are picking up cars. Ford for example has a factory in Buffalo. I believe the Martorell is heading for Japan after the west coast, stopping in Hawaii probably, too.

Getting closer indeed. I just got an email from IFF, the company handling customs etc. on this side of the pond, giving me access to their tracking portal. Quite a bit more information than the BLG portal. It'll show the exact status of the car in terms of customs etc. Looks like the Martorell is about a week delayed so far. ETA for Long Beach according to IFF is 8/14.
