this is going to be the longest month of my life...only 1 day down and i'm already stir crazy.

when all the delays were occurring earlier, i didn't check in as often knowing that the timelines were open-ended and i couldn't do anything about it. now that there is a time bomb to delivery, it's driving me nuts...why can't the martorell start MOVING?!?! LOL. i know, i'm lame.

From there it will have to go through Customs and the VPC, so I'm estimating I'll be reunited with it mid to end of August. In your case it will have to leave the factory first, get to Bremerhaven and be assigned to a vessel, so perhaps an additional 2-3 weeks.

Here's a picture of the port of Bremerhaven. If you zoom in you can see the RORO vessels in the distance where the cars get loaded. My vessel is off the coast of Spain at the moment heading to Brussels and then I'm guessing Bremerhaven to pick up its load. This pic is from the hotel at the port where we stayed. It had a nice viewing platform. At least you know where it's coming from .

I just realized that Superswiss also stated that the Martorell is supposed to arrive in Long Beach on "August 7." That is what my AMG manager told me yesterday, too. Yet the ship tracking sites say August 13...

Superswiss, what source you used to determine the Augst 7th. If it was MBZ/AMG then it makes sense since my AMG rep said she got the info from AMG US HQ...just wondering whether AMG or ship tracking sites are more reliable in this case.

I was given that date by BLG, the logistics company. I also noticed that those tracking sites have a different date. We'll see. At the moment, it's already behind schedule, though. It was supposed to depart yesterday.

I guess I shouldn't complain in this case...that delay probably helped my car get on this boat!

Ship tracking shows Martorell leaving Bremerhaven tomorrow at 1am...that's 3 hours from now.

I guess we'll see which is more accurate...???

See, now I'm wondering if originally it was slated to leave Bremerhaven on July 6th (as Superswiss originally stated) and they updated the voyage dates according to any delays (i.e. July 9th/10th)...meaning, the shipping companies probably have more accurate dates. if it was originally slated to leave July 6th and arrive in LA on August 7th, then the delay to July 10th and now showing August 13th, may be correlated...?

As you can see, I'm BORED now.

Actually, the July 6 date was a complete brain fart on my part. That date was never given to me. They wrote them down on the condition report for me, and it was always July 9 for the departure and August 7 for estimated arrival. I didn't have my morning coffee yet when I dropped it off . They did mention that these dates can change, though as often the loading of the cars takes longer than anticipated. I'm wondering if the tracking sites give more of a worst case estimate until it gets closer to the arrival.
