Next port call is Southhampton, England. I'm guessing unloading some cars and picking up some British cars. It'll do a few more port calls in Europe before heading out into the Atlantic.

And my car is on the vessel. Got loaded 2 days ago. Sorry, brain fart again. Got loaded today and due August 7 for unloading. Here's the Aug 7 date again. I keep reading these dates backwards. dd.mm.yyyy vs mm.dd.yyyy. I'm a bit confused at the moment

watching the ship navigate through the narrow areas in real time is pretty cool!

Indeed, even more so since only 1.5 weeks ago I was actually there staying in a hotel overlooking where the ship now is. I've seen the lock it's currently in up close in person a few years ago when I did a harbor tour.

I dropped off my car in Sindelfingen Two weeks ago today in the morning. It was at the port on the same day...I got lucky, there was a truck there going to the port when I dropped the car off!!!

That is good timing! 6 years ago I did ED with my Audi RS5 and I sort of made the mistake to drop it off in Zurich, not knowing that that adds about 3 weeks to the process. The car didn't get to the port for 2-3 weeks, so this time I decided to drop it off right where it gets shipped from. So far it's paying off.

It’s making a 30 day trip seem like a 60 day trip!
I might have to turn off these alerts...

Haha... yeah, there isn't much of a point watching it at this stage. The land based AIS tracking will soon seize once it's out of the English Channel and into the Atlantic. You might be able to track it via Satellite since you paid for it, but it really only gets interesting again once it gets closer to the Panama channel.

Steve--O, that is the most back-handed troll comment one can make!

HAHA DON'T SAY THAT.
However...I was thinking about this the other day as well. I mean, we're talking about a multi-million dollar boat (maybe even 100's of millions, depending on the cargo). What sort of defenses do these boats have against pirate attacks? That is a huge haul...and seems like they just journey solo, too; no protection from navies or coast guards, etc.? no huge cannons or other laser beams on board...?
boredom makes you wonder...
