To my knowledge, MB is using my car as a test unit and I won't be surprised if they apply these fixes to those with similar issues in future. This fix has parts upgrade followed by Trani, Drivetrain, and ECU firmware modifications. At this point, they keep on updating the software, testing the car and logging the behaviour.
@E55 KEV what's your built date?
By the way guys, I've lost my patience and faith at the moment and hoping to get compensated for all this inconvenience. I've gone through 2x C300, and 2x GLC350e loaners already which are dumb and dumber cars if you ask. Summer is almost over and I haven't had a chance to enjoy the car yet
Sorry but I’ve got to ask why you’re still putting up with it. I would’ve started lemon proceedings long ago and just dumped the car. At this point it’s been thoroughly tinkered and taken apart and things just won’t be the same.

Sorry but don't know the build date of my 2016 GLE63s. It's the M157 5.5 liter engine instead of the 4.0 liter in the C63s.

Really feel for you. Last September I realised a dream and bought an F Type R convertible. Cost me 92k English pounds. A once in a lifetime thing for me as I hope to retire in a few years. Within a few weeks I took it back for a complete new roof and folding mechanism. They messed that up. The car was a lemon. Got all my money back and bought my C63S convertible instead. 20k less and much better car. A couple of issues still to be resolved. Won’t save dynamic setting in Individual but hopefully they’ll fix that.
They’ve had yours way too long. I’d tell them to keep it now. Hopefully they’ll be ok about it. In fairness, Jaguar were. I actually got back more than I paid for it (bit of compensation from their finance guys plus the road tax). I also told them that whilst I liked their E Pace I actually owned an F Type. They obliged by getting me a brand new one as my loaner.
I hope you end up with a good outcome too.

I am so sorry for all what youre going through . I hate the loaners they give me when I drop off my car for three days , much less for two months . I am in Miami FL and I traded my 2017 Selenite C63S convertible for the same but 2019 Obsidian ... mine just turned 80 miles and I still have a long way to go to break in milage but your post got me quite interested and curious . From everything I read in your post , it sure doesn't seem that it is just specific to your particular car / it sounds like they had issues with the 2019 ones ! while it goes without saying that I think they owe you big time , they also owe other owners of that model some clarity and action to address what they should be learning from your misfortune and address upgrades/ fixes etc for others . I just check my car and it was produced May 2019 ! Wish I past the break in period so I can test its behavior under hard driving .. I did drive my 2017 hard , traded it in at 14K miles but the car ws a champ thats what lead me to want the newer model of the same. Best of luck and hope they do right by you .

Thanks all!

I finally received a call from my new SA confirming that my car is fixed and all the issues are addressed but I can't pick it up until the detail the car so I'm expecting a pickup on Monday, Aug 26th.

During this 2 month period, I've noticed the car has been driven around the dealership (on my Mercedes Me app) , turned ON and OFF for hundreds of times and even driven to technician's house which is about 35 miles away from the dealership and stood the night and was driven back to the dealership. I'm seeing 122 miles added to the car since my last drop off. I also understand that all of this was for testing purposes and I shouldn't make a big deal out of it but I'll have to physically inspect the car when picking up and make sure they notate the correct milage on my paperwork.

My SA also mentioned that shop foreman will give me instructions on how to drive the car? 😂I'll keep you posted once I pick her up.

You are far more patient that I am...I got sick of my car and sold it.

I hope your patience is rewarded with a car that is truly fixed and runs well.

Keep us posted.

That's great news and definitely echo everybody's comment about your patience! Lol, "how to drive the car"? I'm guessing he will tell you no WOT and drive like a grandma for the first 1000 mi and so forth, which you should in case they blame you for anything.

Glad to hear that you're getting your car back after such a long time. Do you mind sharing all the fixes/replacements they had done? I read your previous comment about many components not being up to standard. Is this referring to a bad batch of components or a general thing that applies to any MY19? I'm guessing it's the latter.

@boosteddub69 I probably haven't shared/disclosed half of the story (for now) but yeh, I'm usually very calm and patient; but at then moment (or so far) I had no choice but to be patient and wait as the car is still under my possession...
Mind if I ask what was your story? Why did you get rid of yours?

Thanks @Chino075 I waited 7 months from the order date to built, shipment, and delivery and then another 1000 miles for the break-in and another 500+ miles for the dif oil change (I know there are plenty of threads on this topic) and then braking my arm in half (close to losing the whole arm) and once I was getting close to healing up, this misfire issue started. So I never had a chance to drive the car the way I want to. Wonder what this foreman has to say lol

@Tuxdude I'll definitely share the outcome once I pick up the car. Yes, according to my last conversation with the mechanic in charge, apparently parts equipped in my car (and I guess for the whole generation) wasn't up to standard and they've replaced/upgraded with new parts followed by constant ECU firmware updates, trani, and drivetrain software updates and testing and logging the results. According to the tech in charge, MB of North America engineers would not release the car until they fully resolve the issue...

B3NS_C63s_AMG , I only wish you the very best and I applaud your patience, few would be as understanding as you have been . would you mind me asking where are you located ? I am curious which dealership are you dealing with , because here around Miami , the disparity between different dealers when it comes maintenance specially for AMG cars is remarkable , and tats for stock AMG cars not to mention the Renntech car I had !

I’ll keep my story brief. The car died at a stop light and wouldn’t restart for about 10 minutes. Dealer couldn’t diagnose or replicate after having the car for a week. Car started developing gremlins, folding mirrors would randomly stop working, steering wheel would randomly not adjust. Trunk would not always close when the button was pushed. In 4 months it was easily the worst car I had ever owned and my local dealer wasn’t very good either.

@maxwerks I'm located in San Jose, California (aka. Bay Area). My dealership is fantastic; It's actually one of the highest volume dealerships in the area being surrounded by around 10 dealerships within 100 miles

FINALLY!!!!

I was able to pick up the car earlier (after 69 days) and was told by the shop foreman to enjoy the car (no driving restrictions since I've already passed the break-in period) and I did!

I drove the car aggressively for 5 miles to my office and didn't notice anything but lots of joy!

Below are the RO notes in case you're curious. I'll keep you posted if anything comes up with my situation.

After all the headache they gave you I am glad you got the car back in one piece. I must say that you are way more lenient than I would have been. I would have tore the dealership a new one if they changed only one spark plug and left the other ones as is. So now you have one spark plug new and the others are old. I do not know about anyone else, but I certainly will have my OCD kick in there.

Good point @munis ! Since I lease my cars, I may not care as much but yeah, when I saw this on paper my OCD kicked in as well lol

I wonder what others have to say for this?

Will you believe if I tell you I got another misfire earlier today?

I drove the car aggressively (for the first time) and got a misfire followed by solid CEL and after rebooting the car, everything went back to normal and CEL went away.

Drove the car aggressively again and no issues. Trouble is, I need to find a better place to avoid obeying the laws and push the car very hard and see if the issue comes back.

At this point, I went ahead and notified the dealer but will drive the car over the weekend and see if the issue comes back. Any suggestions/ideas?

Try a different gas station/brand. If that won't help you SHOULD file for lemon.
