Current: 2017 C63S Prior: 2016 CLA45, 2015 Evo X Final Edition
When I was having my issues, it was very intermittent as well. I'd turn it on, get issues a few minutes later, turn it off, and they were gone. The dealership tried everything. They swapped the plugs and coils to see if it would follow, and it wouldn't. Always 2&4 getting the misfire. Never found out the root cause, car burned up before we could.

37 days later and she's still high with no ETA.

Had to turn in my 3rd loaner (today) after adding 3700 miles on the GLC 350e ($h!!ty car; never buy it!).

One thing my SA mentioned was that they had to open a case with Mercedes and my car is waiting for UPGRADED parts...

Curious, is the car not drivable at all currently? Seems like you only had misfires when trying to gun it. Ever considered just driving it until the parts come in. I'm surprised your dealership can just block one of their bays for over a month.

2 weeks ago with 11k miles on my 2016 GLE63s I got solid CEL with misfire on cylinder 8. I did not notice any engine or performance issues. Took to dealer on Monday. Not a word since Monday and 5 days have past.. Emailed the SA for status this morning and his reply was:

"I haven't heard anything yet. Waiting on a tech report "

Oh. Em. Gee. So sorry to hear/see this. Hopefully, they are compensating you somehow while your car depreciates just sitting there...how long did you have it to drive before started having probs again? Also, you are one extremely patient and [seemingly] calm person. i would be raging right now. hahaha. i mean, i was raging just waiting for my car to be built/delivered.

LOL the GLC 350e is $h!!ty and you say never buy it while my GLE 63s is down with misfire and your C63s been in the shop for 37 days. You and I got the $hi!!ty cars right now

Honestly what's the point of driving the car and not gun it which it'll feel like the first two C300 loaners I got. It's a big dealership and they have a huge shop and that bay was apparently dedicated for my car. I'd love to get the car and drive it while waiting for cars but I'm also afraid to make more damages to engine and was advised by dealer not to drive it.

Thanks @mrguitar I understand the fact that things can go wrong with any car and my car is no exception. I'll see if I can have my payment waved while the car is at the shop

LOL I guess you're right
I was looking at the new 2020 GLC 63s and it really got me interested. Wonder when will hit the U.S. market. Wife would love the SUV

I'd love one too but sadly the S-Model SUV version for the GLC63 is not available in the US. Makes no sense that smaller markets like Canada, England and Australia get it.

@E55 KEV if I'm not mistaken, the 2020 GLC 63s will only be available for coupe variant but according to this, it's not coming to states

Only the S-Model Coupe is in the US not the S-Model SUV. I prefer the SUV. As your article states:

"Mercedes-AMG tells us that the GLC63 S SUV, which we did not get a chance to drive, will not make the trip to the United States."

58 days past and still no resolution to this!!! I visited the dealership earlier today and spoke with the mechanic in charge who gets instructions from the shop foreman that is also getting instructions from MB of North America. According to my mechanics' last knowledge, some parts such as fuel injectors, coil packs, and spark plugs are not up to standard for this engine specially when under high boost....

The reason this has been taking so long is that my dealer has been waiting for UPGRADED parts which they're finally in but further communication is needed between the dealership and MB of North America engineers to be able to release the car at this point.

I also noticed the car was driven for 25+ miles since last drop-off for AMG adaptations and diagnosis purposes.

Mechanic also mentioned that new ECU as well as powertrain and transmission (I think) firmware was loaded which MB will never release any further info on these unless there's a recall.

I really wanted to have the car for this weekend's car show here in Monterey car week but it really sucks that I don't!

Well it’s not only related to facelift models but the prefacelift as well. Had a random solid check engine light the other morning while my car was idling cold as I dropped my daughter off at first day of school. Drove fine but couldn’t read the code with my genius (not that smart apparently lol) however was able to clear it. Fine for a few days then last night wot 2nd gear and ignition breakup/fuel cut followed by flashing check engine then solid light and rattling from running on less cylinders. Parked, turned off car, started it then light was gone and all was normal. My low fuel light literally came on when it happened so maybe the fuel sloshed away from the pump and it went lean for a sec which caused it? Idk.

Flying out for work now so I’ll mess with it when I get back, but I’ve never had any lights or issues over the last year, however previous owner had coils swapped before I bought it so maybe they’re ****ting the bed again.

Really? Not so. The GLC63 S-Model 'Coupe' with 503HP is sold in the US. Only the 'non' S-Model 'SUV' with 469HP is sold in the US.

Thanks guys! I was supposed to have the car early this week and I noticed the car being turned ON and OFF 100+ times on Last Fri, this Mon, and Tue. I also noticed my car leaving the dealership for a planned test drive but apparently they haven't figured out the situation so far.
To my knowledge, MB is using my car as a test unit and I won't be surprised if they apply these fixes to those with similar issues in future. This fix has parts upgrade followed by Trani, Drivetrain, and ECU firmware modifications. At this point, they keep on updating the software, testing the car and logging the behaviour.
@E55 KEV what's your built date?
By the way guys, I've lost my patience and faith at the moment and hoping to get compensated for all this inconvenience. I've gone through 2x C300, and 2x GLC350e loaners already which are dumb and dumber cars if you ask. Summer is almost over and I haven't had a chance to enjoy the car yet
