I'm looking to purchase a 2017 C63S AMG from a CA dealer (non-certified) and noticed this in my inspection. The front pillar frames had seams in them (like cuts). I haven't noticed this in other Mercedes before and would be curious to know if anyone in this forum knows whether this is standard in this car or whether this is a sign that something has happened structurally?
Relevant details:
Carfax is clean, drives well, front hood seems repainted (edges feel a bit rough) but dealer says it isn't.

They are hiding something. I just checked my 2016 sedan also and no cuts or seams present just dirt cause i need to clean her lol Pictures attached.
Wow, I though I had a "good eye" for detail!
... and the plastic (rubber?) wire covers look completely un-dusty, likely indicating they're new/replacements.

You do have a really good eye for detail. I looked at these pics several times and didn't even notice the pristine wire covers. Run away !!!!

I decided not to pursue with this dealer and got a certified pre-owned from Fletcher Jones instead - problem solved. Suffice to say, there wasn't a seam in the one I picked up!

My 2017 has a seam like that in the drivers side pillar but not the passenger side. Also has no accident damage and it doesn’t appear to have been repainted anywhere.
