Reason why Apple Carplay reboots
Just picked up the car after it mysteriously went to limp mode (and no problem/issue found). I questioned an SA about our new Apple 18 Pro's rebooting. The only resolution is to restart the car and try again. Turns out MB only supports up to V13.2. Apple is at V13.8. Further, MB only comes up with upgrades every 6-12 months, meaning we'll always be behind Apple's latest releases. Kinda sucks.

That is generally not much of an issue. The latest iOS 13 version is 13.7. The very latest is 14.0.1. They've had some CarPlay bugs in some of the iOS 13 versions, but they got fixed on Apple's end. I haven't had any issues with CarPlay. I don't use it much these days, though, and I haven't upgraded to iOS 14 yet, but I haven't really read or heard of any issues. I'm currently on 13.7. It should work just fine. I do have an iPhone XS. It's not clear from your post which one you have. Some reported CarPlay issues from what I read are specific to the newer iPhone 11 hardware and also much older hardware such as the iPhone 8. The iPhone 11 was released after the FL with the updated COMAND came out, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are some issues with the newer phones as MB probably only tested up to the iPhone XS.

I’m not sure if this might be the issue, but I’m using the WiFi widget (Apple2Car?) to connect to the car.
However this was also happening with the phone plugged in.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro on iOS 14.0 right now. I use Carplay2Air and a wireless charger with my 2019 coupe. Have experienced no issues, and almost feel like I'm asking for it lol
