Near death experience on the freeway with dashcam
So far owning this cars has been both good and bad. I’m getting to understand the need for a dash cam. I had my fair share of people changing lanes, forcing me off the freeway and into the grass. A few times I almost die as there wasn’t anywhere to go with heavy traffic and being on twisty mountain roads. Any recommendations for dash cam that doesn’t drain the car batteries?

I think you need to change the way you drive. Please. A dashcam won't save your life.
Definitely get a dash cam so theres no ambiguity should someone cut you off and cause an accident. Knock on wood you don't need it.

(so either wire it to switched power - so its only on/recording when car is on, or get some of the external battery packs that charge up while driving, and run the cameras when car is off)
I use a Blackvue 900+ (front and rear) with 2 battery packs (for parking mode recording)

An external battery pack is much cheaper then a new battery for your MB, plus the hassle if your car battery drains down, and or goes into (s) limp.. etc etc..
