Whilst stuck in traffic I was using this when these messages popped up, having to wait till the middle of next month to get it looked at, is there anything I could do before then, I’ve cleaned the sensors, I can delete the messages but they come back every time I start the engine.
The most common reason for this is low voltage issues. Your main and/or aux battery might be bad. Especially when it happens upon starting the engine. If the voltage drops too much then these systems fail to initialize. At idle in traffic, the alternator also doesn't supply enough juice to power everything, so again if the batteries are dying then the voltage starts fluctuation causing issues with the electronics.

Thanks and yes I did think of that, I’ve done over 100 miles since and the stop start as always works as it should, although I mainly turn it off, isn’t the aux battery a capacitor, main battery was checked OK by dealer when in for service 3 months ago so my suspicion is the radar sensor.

Depends on the model. I think in the C63 the aux battery is still an actual battery and it's known to fail eventually. The main purpose of the aux battery is to stabilize the voltage during engine start and other high power demand situations. There's always a possibility that a sensor has failed, but I would first check the aux battery.
Sometimes the module "for some unknown reason", can't communicate with the VIN associated and thus does not know what coded packages you have which can also cause this to happen.

If it was a problem with the aux battery wouldn’t that affect the eco stop-start which works perfectly.
No, I don't think so. Only the main battery is monitored as far as I know.
It could be the main battery, I checked it before it went in for service, everything was working perfectly, asked dealer to check it and replace if necessary, they said it was okay, this was my reading.
After a waiting 5 weeks just got a result for the problem, one of the 3 sensors behind the bumper is faulty also the wiring loom connecting them has intermittent bad connection so has to be replaced, problem is they are on back order and there’s no indication of when they will be available not only that I’ve had to pay up front or they won’t order them.
