Any Interest in Custom Rear Lower Control Arms?
I might be having a friend jig me up some rear lower control arms with a mounting point approximately 1" (might be lower, I have to decide) lower than stock. This will allow you to go lower, but will also make the ride nicer for your daily height (in addition to prolonging the life of the strut) because it will be as if you were actually raised 1" higher than your current height.
Any interest?

it would be cool if u can adapt some kind of camber adjustment on the custom lower arms.. maybe with esentric bolt or a adjustable end link similar to the power steering rack

I totally could, but I have no use for it, personally. Get me enough interest, and I will

well.. the lower u go the more camber you will get, which will give u un even wear on your tires... so this camber adjustment could save you money in the long run in tires

true. true... i know the fender has about 3/4 inch of lip that can be folded over to clear bigger tires, but it would suck to damage a CL in that matter

I have received my prototype arms and will be test fitting them tomorrow! They will be camber-correcting as well!

The arms need a little bit of modification. Hopefully within two weeks I will get them back and we can try again. The prototype arms are .5" narrower, and I will record before and after camber readings to see if that will be sufficient

I considered using eccentric bolts, but it seems like a lot of work for around one degree of adjustability. Just shortened will hopefully do the trick!

Here's a sneak peek. I still need to perfect everything between the links and the module. Better pics to come. Note I don't drive at this height, this is just all the way down on my V2 module.
Some things:
1. Driving height camber reduced approximately one degree (from 2.7 to 1.7)
2. The car drives SIGNIFICANTLY smoother at driving height. It feels almost stock now!
So far, I'm very impressed. I need to do some light trimming on the fenders now, since I rub slightly on the outside edge because of the reduction of camber. Overall, this will be a winner for those of us looking to go low, have the car ride nice, and have better tire wear.
Oh yeah, I also am boxing in the arms, so can you say improved rear traction?
