Thumbs down UNITED MOTOR PRODUCTS do not make V12 coilpacks

Am I behind or what ?

Called UNITED MOTOR PRODUCTS today and they told me:

"we don't make COP278 & COP279 coilpacks, we buy them"

"You can buy them from RockAuto when available"

anyone knows what made they are then ?

Sorry but I don't believe that

read this:

http://www.rockauto.com/fr/moreinfo....431946&jsn=389

did you read "High dielectric sleeve (improvement over OE)"

so, if you are so sure those are all the same, will you pay my lawyer, and I give you 50% of what we get to sue them ?

I don't know where you got that info from but..... no sure... really

Have you contacted Airtex/BWD to see if they claim to build them in-house, or if they source them from Temic with different specs?

I don't know why you're getting so upset about this, the reality of MANY parts is they are all built by one company, and many times I've purchased parts from other suppliers, only to get an OEM part with the brand logo and part # ground off, it's just not cost effective for 3 people to build a part like this when they can just order them from Temic, re-box them and sell them.

They are all temic , resellers do not like to advertise that fact and in some cases are forbidden to name their suppliers

there is no company making these besides temic . Wherever you buy you are getting the exact same part, no matter which box it's in . Pick the cheapest with the best warranty . Usually Rockauto or parts.com

This is why i've said all along, just get the MB ones, as they are all the same. You can buy them aftermarket, but the pricing for me is almost the same, and there's no real difference aside from the sticker they put on it and the box it comes in.

The biggest difference is the warranty

some sellers offer a lifetime warranty which is valuable for those who want to keep their car a long time
