Exclamation BEST Place to finally service your BREMBO Brakes !

So here we go again
1 year I want to service my 8 piston front Brembo Calipers !
every time reported because nowhere to find a REAL service kit

Front brakes on your W215 is a BIG problem in terms of model and year
as my car was a press car MB put the best available brakes in 2003 on

I first thought this was what they always put on CL600 - 65 but not at all !
brakes versions varies from Japan to European and US versions

So my front brakes are MB ref A 0024209483
same previous version 0024209383

these are Brembo 8 piston

you will find various numbers on these brakes bun NO WAY to connect this to Brembo
WHY ??
Because Brembo DO NOT give any support for these brakes
I called them and guess what, they don't care, they are arrogant mother****ers
and tell you to go visit Mercedes !

at Mercedes they say: "YES ! of course we have a repair pack..."

WHAT ? Yesssssss ! finally !

NOT AT ALL !
they are talking about the repair kit MB A 0014210086
when I got these I discovered they sell you ONLY the 8 dust covers ! WTF ?
is that a repair kit ?!!! for retards ?

Brembo and Mercedes just want you to buy new caplipers if they fail

A kit should have dust covers but the most important is the Brembo brake caliper hydraulic seals
Believe it or not, NOWHERE to find these until I found the only European Brembo and more specialist on the web interested in my story

https://www.frentech-uk.co.uk/
http://stores.ebay.fr/frentech/

Dave, the owner was so kind, told me to make pictures and measure, what I did.
result, he had them ! I touched the Holy Graal

He will soon make a package on ebay for these brakes so you can get the whole thing, dust covers and rings, to service your Brembo calipers to NEW again
don't hesitate to contact him for all other models

this for a few $ only !

THX again Dave !

I"ll post you my rebuild here later

Excellent information!

I found it very difficult to find service parts, but I did eventually get a kit of piston seals and dust covers for both front and rear brakes from Rockauto.

Cheers, Nick

Just another source, pmercury.

You complain about looking a year for parts and you stumble across a source who makes you measure to see if MAYBE they MIGHT have parts.

These guys specialize in brakes and parts for our Brembo calipers including improved designs and materials.

Sorry they offend your fiscal sensibility.

not at all, sorry that you didn't understand
thx for your contribution

and for those who like sick overpricing, I can rebuild their calipers myself for 20.000 $

for this price you will get a nice walnut case and 24k gold valve caps (4)

One other thing to consider when servicing old Brembo callipers is corrosion under the stainless steel wear plates. This corrosion is inevitable with age, and pushes the pad wear plates out, squeezing the pads and tending to seize them. This stops the pads from freeing properly, and causes them to drag, heating the brakes up. Obviously it's bad.

The little bolts that hold the plates in are tiny and prone to seize, so may have to be drilled out. If you remove just the central bolt you can bend the plate inwards, giving enough space to scrape and abrade the corrosion away. This applies particularly to the lower plates, where muddy or salty water is most likely to accumulate.

I think this is a problem that will affect all older cars with alloy brake calipers.

Of course, if you have the 8-pot brakes, the other fun thing you can do (I couldn't resist) is fit S65 front brakes.

390x36mm vs 360x36mm

The S/CL65 discs are also two-piece / floating.

SL65 discs are similar but have less height.
