PreSafe cluster warning removal
Seems to happen to more then me, so I post my old trick, never know....
For those who get the PreSafe warning in dash after tune and Xentry DAS variant-coding
here is the correct setting:
why this ? because pre-safe is a option not for 215

Thanks for all for all of your help yesterday. Sadly I tried to get rid of it last night, but it didn't work. I perfoRmed the following procedure:
Plugged SDS into obd2 port
opened DAS
turned on key
selected 215
selected control units
selected body
selected OCP - overhead control panel
selected control unit adaptations
selected read coding and change if necessary
selected presafe
My screen shows inactive, but it is in grey, not blue like yours. I tried to program it anyway, but no change. Tried to go to "active" but that didn't work either. Tried it with the key off through the whole procedure, no change.

It should be inactive, there's a note in my dealer SDS that says the coding must be set to inactive, something to do with safety regulations I believe after a certain point.

When I checked the OCP for fault codes, it said there was a fault because the coding was set to "Active" when it should be "Inactive". I erased the code and when I turned on the key, no code. Started the car and it came back immediately. I tried to go into other adaptations and had the same result, the selection box is there, has different options, but it is grey, not blue and if I change something it says programming complete, but if I recheck the value it is back where it started.. Seems like my SDS is not actually able to alter control unit adaptations?????? Is that possible?

Not sure if it is a "developer mode". I bought it from a member on here years ago. Has been great for reading and clearing DTC's, looking at actual values of sensors, can put the car in rodeo with it, etc. Apparently can't change coding though? The thing is, this showed up one time after I tried unsuccessfully to code out the rear 02 sensors. Not sure what I changed attempting that that caused it, but it was there immediately after I tried that. Must have been able to make changes at one time, but can't now? Not sure, but I'm tired of this warning every time I start the car....

Thank you very much for your help pmercury. Great guy who really went above and beyond to help by spending an hour on the phone and on line helping me. He was able to correct some settings in my SDS so that I now have developer mode and then he was able to remove my pre safe warning, all from the opposite side of the globe. I can't say how much I appreciate having that stupid warning gone as well as the ability to make future changes if I'd like to. THANK YOU!!!
