New CL owner
Just closed on ebay for a Designo. Got it for 110K, unregistered...
Did I do OK?
Any other Designo owners on here?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...8651571&rd=1,1
Anyone know how to change my forum name

Yeah, I've got the exact same car as you
I've got the same car as you, and it is indeed a wonderful ride. Fit and finish are light years ahead of the previous model, and feels even better than the S-Class.
I'm still trying to find out what it will cost to get an ECU/TCU upgrade for my CL 550. And for headers. Anybody know? And what about K&N filters, are they out yet?
My dealer told me it's gonna be a good deal over $6,000, maybe $6,800 for the Renntech ECU plus Header package. That seems like way too much to me. Why should an ECU/TCU upgrade cost more than $500 or $1,000?

Headers alone is $4495 while the ECU is $1795. Total is $6290. Renntech might discount both items if they are bought as a package. Obviously the dealership is just guessing the numbers.
The answer is------ because it's Renn Tech. However you can't go wrong with them.
