How do you tell the difference...
Between the older non-supercharged CL55's and the new CL55's that are supercharged. Some kid in my town that's 16 at a local highschool just got a silver one and it's a real one, but upon close inspection, is there any obvious signs of telling the difference. If it's the supercharged one...i'll probably be posting an article of a kid flipping his AMG and killing everone in the car.

Someone will probably be along to correct me but I think the 2002 and earlier were not supercharged, 349 hp vs 490 sumthin with the blower appearing in 2003.
The easiest external way to tell a 2002 or earlier is the tail lights. The tails will have 2 horizontal white lines vs 4 on the 2003 + models. Interior wise, the center stack is redesigned in 2003 to the integrated smooth face vs multiple sections for the nav, temperature, phone etc controls. Look for the row of rocker switches across the top of the center stack on the 2002 and earlier.

Everything you guys mentioned, people done it but one thing i've never seen it done right is by replace the rear bumper. The CL sc rear bumper has the paint line on the bottom of the bumper between the quad exhaust.

Also the pre-2003 CL55's come standard with the 18" AMG monoblock 5 spoke wheels. The 2003-2005 CL55's have the 18" AMG double-spoke design. The 2006 CL55 have the 19" AMG two-piece double-spoke design. Strangely enough the pre-2003 CL55's came with wider 275 tires in the rear, compared to the 265's on the 2003-2005 models.
