While waiting for the parts to arrive from the paintshop I did some small things....
Added som emlems I Think MB missed...
Latest maps ofcourse,
Somethingwas spilled in the back so I installed a new carpet.
The calipers both front and rear looked t´like **** and was rusted si ne covers ordered and arrived.
These where all scratched up so new was ordered.
These covers under the seats where scratched and cracked so new ones here.
New lower chrome lists. The old ones where totaly done.
Facelift mirrors. MB OEM.

looks nice...
ever consider colored film for the door sills? or maybe the ability to have multi-color?
I've been thinking about doing it somehow, the light is so bright you know?

Time to install the OEM facelift mirrors. This is how it comes delivered. I used aftermarket mirrorcovers so I get the LED downlight that the OEM covers dont have.
It is very importent to assemble it in the right order Before you press it all together because after that it wont come apart again.
It is very tight but it works.
Then I do a test to see that all works Before I totaly esemble it.
Some use the adapter Cable that comes with the covers.
But I prefer to weld it since the conectors on the adapter cable usally have bad conection after a while.
Then just press it all together.
Result pressed.
Then just remove the old mirror and install the new. All plug n play.
Before and after...
Sorry for the bad pic but here you see the LED downlight I wanted.

thanks for having a part of your project chris.
fantastic job
every mercedes facelift looks awesome. but not the CLs. i like the cars before facelift much more. especially the mirrows and the frontmask before facelift is looking much more exclusive. but this is my opinion. i am curious about the following workflows and looking forward to see new pics
THX for that chris
best regards jochen

Great looking car! As a newbi to the CL world please forgive me for what may seem dumb questions. I take it the pics in the OP are after the facelift/wheels/lowering right? What year is this car? Can the new body parts you used / facelift be put on a 2005 (w215)?

Chris can I get these mirrors from the factory to match my designo white paint? Also did you get the aftermarket covers from Ebay? Can you provide the MB partnumbers for this conversion please.
Great Project!!!
