My CL65 has been running quite well as it's close to having 150K on the car.
I noticed a ghost flash on my dash info center from time to time . After a time I noticed first the suspension while still keeping level and able to raise and lower had become very soft and when hitting bumps at freeway speed felt as if one shock was blown. I can get the dash to flash going over speed bumps every time, seems like it "MAY" be more from the rear than the front. I haven't looked under or at anything yet. Below is a video of the ghost flash

I would check the fluid level before driving it again. May not be the problem, but if it is low enough to do that you are asking for a big bite on the rear (wallet) for not at least taking the time to check the fluid. Until you do that don't bother trying to check codes.

shoot,
That was the first thing I did and that was OK. I should have mentioned that.

Another thing is the ghost flash is in both white and red with the vast majority being white.

My thoughts of an easy repair would be a harness hinging type failure.
Something like what happens to our door wiring. I'll look around when I can get the mid engine Porsche build out of the garage.

I just got it sealed with Por-15 which really makes a huge mess in the garage !!!!

I Am cleaning up the 996 suspension parts tons to do.

I would wager to guess its a low pressure error possible in combination with a error that may tell you what shock is potentially bad, if your correct. The only way to find out is have the codes dumped and read.

From your explanation you may very well have a bad shock, a bad accumulator, or both.

If your ever up in the LA/Ventura area, I would be happy to read the codes for you.

my bet is your accumulators are going.

have them replaced. they are cheap and even if not completely bad- it is time anyway.

I like the car it may be time for a coil over experiment. I have another car and will get the Porsche running in the next 6 months. I'm sure I can fit coil over shocks and sway bars. The Porsche has given me some needed experience. At this point in the life of this car the ABC has run it course and likely will spit and sputter every 6 months until the crusher takes it away.
I'll drive it until its toast and then map out a setup.

I have had the usual coils and engine mounts, one line the dead end one at the pump area.
I'm a retired tune up tech and am very careful with the car, always change oil and filters sooner and never rev the engine over 3 k in the first 20 minutes of driving. My goal is to make sure the drive-train is warm, engine, trans, and rear-end etc. before putting pressure on the car. The engine runs smooth and has no clicks or clacks

my car shows the same message but only when I go over a dip or hump on the road. I have a updated instrumental cluster on my 03 so when the message comes up it also makes a beep sound. Maybe I should change out my accumulators too?

I found its real clear when you find the bad accumulator ! It will be full of oil and normally if you place a small 3 inch screw driver in the hole it will only
go in a inch or less. A bad one will take all the 3 inches.

Yep, replace the accumulators will take care of that issue. I changed both accumulators

I have about 150,000 miles on my CL65. I always wanted a 65 but was told not to get one because of the expense to work on. Let me tell you this is ultra reliable and way cheaper then my Ferrari. I have only had to issues in over 100K of driving.
