W216 Coil Packs
Are the W216 CL65 coil packs susceptible the same problems/failures as the W215?

Everyone always assumes that if they are getting misfires that the coil packs packed it in. Its not always the case. The ignition transformer can also be a culprit. That was the case in my car. A lot cheaper than new coils.

Just look at the packs:
Left # A275 150 07 80 Q3
Right # A275 150 04 80 Q1
Appears that he Left as been swapped with the updated pack.
Car sounds like a truck at idle.
Left # A275 150 07 80 Q3
Right # A275 150 04 80 Q1

I didn't realise that the older A275 150 04 80 / 05 80 were ever fitted to the W216 or W221.
I believe the later 06 80 and 07 80 are the preferred types.
