Oh wait, stuff is being powder coated right now. I was told to expect the car back in August and have confirmed that the car will be back in August.
There were some unexpected delays due to a slight variance in my transmission vs earlier cars.

And that response wasnt intended to come off condescending or rude. Its just all I know and dont want to bother them all the time. They are working on it, it is close to completion, there were some delays. With that much work being done I would prefer them to take their time and make sure its perfect because if something is missed its a long trip to bring the car back to be corrected.

As am I. I am on pins and needles. He emailed me several powder coating options for the coolers and valve covers and found a powder coat in my cars color with the metallic flake. Really dig it so going that route. I was wanting the hammer-tone finish but its too dark.
I am really debating having stronger axles put in as i want to run 9's

No. There were some hiccups that are being addressed and then it goes for testing and dyno before it gets sent back. My vacation ends tomorrow though and I really just wanted to spend the whole vacation inside my mistress. lol

Wish I had one. They worked on it on Friday when they are normally closed to get it done. There was a turbo issue and the new turbos have to have some changes made to the manifolds plus be re-clocked a bit. Everything else is done. I am so super ansy. They have had their fair share of problems but are overcoming them. Yeah we blew past the 8 week deadline by quite a bit but I have high hopes to have the car back sometime this year.
Jo has been great with returning emails and answering calls and I have made sure not to yell or swear at them. Problems happen and they are overcoming them. I just really really really really hope its on a truck by the end of this week to come home.
Last car show pissed me off. I had done tons of work to the Corvette and was so proud of it and had 40+ people nod politely at the changes and instead of commenting at all on them they would then ask "So whens the AMG get back?" LOL *cries* But look! Its a Lingenfelter Corvette I just did a killer stereo on and some cool brakes and look, evern the aluminum control arms are all shiney and look how bad it just beat this car or that car. "Yeah yeah, whens the Benz coming back?" lol

Wow have to say I love your CL65 almost as much as the 2009 CL65 in Designo Graphite I picked up at a KC broker bought from SoCal owner. It was a pretty well planned and stealthy PurePursuit for me in tracking my baby down from ATL on June 23. After you were done and gone of course! Good experience and only minor issues with car after driving 825 miles home.
Love the carbon fiber but ended up with a gorgeous Cortecchia two tone charcoal/dark gray-brown interior with matte light brown maple wood that is sweet. Adding carbon on outside and getting new wheels and will post pictures when done. Not doing performance upgrades for a bit but have a rare beast and love the combo of luxury and sport. A bit porky but so what, she is silky smooth but a bit nasty! Love the color it is Uber rare! Only made 33 CL65s for USA in 2009. May be less in 2012 MBUSA wont say. Anyone got production numbers past 2009 for AMGs?

It may be done by then. Problem with this freakin waiting is I just dropped 5k today on my damn Vette just cause i mentioned how much I like another guys wheels so he traded me one of my RC cars and cash. Now I have to widebody the back of the Vette cause its 345/30/19 tires. lol

As far as i know the engine goes in for the last time on Wed. After that the headers will be heat cycled for a couple days and then next week it will be ran on the dyno and shaked down. I think that means it may be on a truck back to me by end of next week. I really hope so cause after 13 weeks they have now had the car twice as long as I have. lol
