Check Engine Light - 02 Sensor

Got a Check Engine Light today. Pull the codes with my scanner and it flags a Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 Sensor 2 no data code.

Stay tuned for the fix.

Before I started the car this morning I cleared the MIL codes and turned off the Check Engine Light. Started the car and all o2 sensors were registereing and acting normal per my scanner. I used the scanner all the way to work. No problems, no CEL from MIL's...

Maybe it was a computer malfunction... Maybe it will re occur sometime.

For now, all is well.

Hey Adam

Where'd you get that scanner you are using to detect those codes? Sounds pretty handy. What else will that scanner do besides read codes and diagnose them?

Thanks

Another code got thrown today. P0410 .. Secondary Air Pump.

As far as I can tell the Air Pump is working, so I'm now seeing if a vacuum leak is the problem. The code only has thrown 2 times in the past week. So, this is weird.

Not me. I think the editor of FHM is named Adam Winer though.

Problem fixed. Ended up being a faulty relay that controls the Air Pump.

Most of us are using OBDII readers. OBDII started with cars 1996 and newer.

For a '93, I am not sure what your options are.

It may be the relay, however, it also can be your air pump. DO you hear the air pump when you start the car at all ?

What year is your CL ? Did it need to have the recall for the airpump relay this past year ?
