we can make a bet...You can check my whole car and if you find a nitrous bottle then ill give you $500, but if you dont find one then you give me $50!!!...

In regards to the race:
Roll racing is for ricers or 1000hp Supras!!! If you want to elimiate human error then learn the car!!! You run from a roll and you are only testing peak power to weight ratio...we might as well take it to the dyno. A real test of a race that replicates a race from stop light to stop light is from a dig. A real race is out the hole... testing not only your ability to drive, but your vehicles whole powerband and your vehicles suspension. I dont waste my time roll ricing... when your ready to run a real mans race (out the hole) then we'll run it. Im not trying to sound like a ****, but you drive a bad *** European car, I hate to see you give into this roll ricing bull****!!! If you need time to learn to drive ur car, learn it and we'll run it!!

Benzo, I agree....

...he is the one who was bragging about how his "perfect launch" allowed him to beat a car with 100 more horsepower than his own to 110 mph. If he cannot duplicate this feat, why would anyone believe it ever happened??

Imo, it didn't. Which has been my point all along, and which is why he is stubbornly resisting any and all efforts to show up and prove his mettle.

However, a supercharged M3 would hand even the CL55, SL55 or E55 their as*es

ALso in twisty curves and winding roads MB doesn't stand a chance at BMW. Although in a straight line a MB would win. That is where the two german automakers split

Reality check for you, ENARANG:

C55 vs. E39 M5:

W208 CLK55 vs. E39 M5:

C55 vs. M3:

SL55 vs. Z8:

SL55 vs. brand spanking new E60 M5:

Now what was it that you were saying?

Stock vs. modded discussions are pretty lame, and unfair...gee, this car all modded up is faster than stock...wow, what a revelation.

However, just for grins: the best run we've got in the forums so far for a stock E55 is 12.11 @ 117.49...on stock tires. Have you got any evidence that a supercharged M3 has bested this time? Because when Car & Driver tested the Autoworke supercharged M3, the best they got was a 13.1 at 109.

This is not even a match, let alone a win, against any of the stock Mercedes you listed.

Improviz your link to that website was useless. It just shows random times for acceleration etc... and also it uses the old E39 M5 not the new v10 powered that will surely hand the E55 its buttocks around corners. I've already read a new artcle by Motor Trend on comparing the two cars. I don't know but it specifically states that the E55 would win in straight line acceleration but going around corners the M5 is the speedier one.

The supercharge placed in the M3 that was tested by C&D was a lame 5.5 psi boost.

I believe the fastest time for an M3 to 60 m.p.h was 4.3 seconds and I'm not sure about the 1/4 mile.

Next time provide useful video or something with the new M5. No point comparing an old 400 hp V8 to a supercharged v8 with nearly 500 hp when there is a new V10 from BMW with 500h.p.

ENARANG, I'm gonna save Improviz the trouble.

The links he provided show the Nurburgring round times and those of Hockenheim, look further down.

The C55 beats the old M5 on the Nring and equals the M3 on the same track.

The old CLK55 is nearly on pace with the old M5 and beats it on Hockenheim.

The SL55 BEATS the NEW M5 with a 155mph LIMITER vs the BMW's 170mph limiter. A detuned SL55 was EVEN FASTER. Albeit by 1 second.

ENARANG, if you'd pull your head out and bother to actually read the links I provided, as Bilal said, they do show track times for all of the cars (around not one, but two tracks), and acceleration, braking, etc. Ever hear of a "scroll" button?? And if you bothered to read the TEXT I wrote, you'd see it DOES mention that I was comparing the SL55 to the NEW M5:

And I'm not going to waste time arguing with someone who's already made up his mind, facts be damned. The track data clearly show that your idiotic assertion was just that--idiotic. Nothing but another useless BMW troll who's here to stir up trouble. You guys are nothing if not insecure.

Oh, the E46 M3's fastest tested 0-60 time was 4.3 seconds? Horse hooey. Every magazine I've seen, domestic and international, tested it from 4.8-5.2. Post a link to any mag test showing an E46 M3 running a 4.3. You can't, because it doesn't exist.

As to the supercharged M3: *you* made the claim that it would hand any supercharged Benz it's *ss. I provided a link to a test of one which shows your assertion to be false. If you've got evidence to show otherwise, show it. Otherwise, the only person to produce any data for one actually being tested here is me.

And if you like BMW's so much, why not go to a BMW forum and discuss them? In case you hadn't noticed, this is a *MERCEDES* forum.

My buddy has a Supercharged M3, so we can see. He was going to come when we were all supposed to race, but then I got a call that the weather wasn't good south of me. I still want to run Benzo since he ran in the 12's when he went to the track.

His trap speed is higher than the E55, and he dyno'ed 460 to the wheels. I believe his 60 foot time was over 2.0 as well.

So, why didn't you actually show up at the track when everyone else went? Oh, I know, because you'd rather sit behind a keyboard and talk trash than actually show up and represent.

What a joke you are....I can't believe you still have the guts to show your face around here after wimping out, making excuses, and refusing to show up on multiple occasions.

His time, however, is nearly a full half second off of SGC's bone stock run in his E55. He ran a 12.43@118.85, while SGC ran a 12.11 @ 117.49--on stock Continentals.

So, where do you think SGC would end up if he decides to do some mods?
